The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The American Red Cross, through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, is always there in times of need. We aspire to turn compassion into action so that all people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter and hope; our communities are ready and prepared for disasters; everyone in our country has access to safe, lifesaving blood and blood products; all members of our armed services and their families find support and comfort whenever needed; and in an emergency, there are always trained individuals nearby, ready to use their Red Cross skills to save lives. The American Red Cross' fundamental principles are: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality. Our motto, "You Have the Power to Save a Life" is built upon and reflects such these values.

Our mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities we serve. Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, we helped provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the people we serve; brings attention to the social and systemic barriers that contribute to food insecurity in our nation; and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry.

Chartered in 1934, the Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL) is the oldest no-kill shelter for abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats in South Central Texas. Through the operation of two facilities, a centrally located 12-acre campus and the city-owned Paul Jolly Center for Adoptions, ADL saves the lives of vulnerable animals primarily originating from the most poverty-stricken communities in San Antonio. A full veterinary hospital housed on the main campus provides spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping for all pets in ADL’s care. In addition, ADL performs specialized surgeries for animals with complex medical conditions and is the first organization to provide no-cost mobile wellness clinics to historically underserved areas. ADL’s partnership with Animal Care Services (ACS) is instrumental in helping the City of San Antonio back to achieving a “No-Kill” status.

Maui Food Bank's mission is to help the hungry in Maui County by collecting and distributing food through community partnerships.

Airlink is a global humanitarian organization delivering critical aid to communities in crisis by providing airlift and logistical solutions to nonprofit partners, changing the way the humanitarian community responds to disasters around the world. Our funding comes from donations and in-kind awards from airlines, aviation sector businesses, foundations, and individuals. We build long-term relationships with airlines, who provide Airlink with access to airlift to harness the power and speed of aviation to deliver humanitarian aid and responders in the wake of natural or man-made disasters. Airlink ensures the right aid gets to communities in need at the right time.

Americares helps people and communities around the world access health in times of disaster and every day. Americares is a health-focused relief and development organization that saves lives and improves health for people affected by poverty or disaster. Each year, Americares reaches 85 countries on average, including the United States, with life-changing health programs, medicine, medical supplies and emergency aid. Americares is one of the world’s leading nonprofit providers of donated medicine and medical supplies. For 45 years, we have met the health needs of our local partners and their communities. We are a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to under served immigrant children, families, and refugees. With legal services, social programs, bond assistance, and an advocacy team focused on changing the narrative around immigration in this country, RAICES is operating on the national front lines of the fight for immigration rights. We defend the rights of immigrants and refugees, empower individuals, families, and communities, and advocate for liberty and justice. Since 2018, our Bond Fund is the largest in the nation with just under $12 million spent to secure the release of more than 1,200 individuals from ICE detention. Our San Antonio Bus Station Project helped more than 9,000 adults and 12,000 children released from detention understand their legal rights. We have a volunteer program with over 5,000 trained volunteers and pro bono lawyers to perform essential tasks such as accompanying people to ICE check-ins and preparing detained clients for credible fear interviews.

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to healing the wounds of war, occupation and poverty for children in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality, religion, race or gender.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality. SPLC fights hate by monitoring hate groups and other extremists throughout the United States, exposing their activities to the public, the media and law enforcement. We work with educators, schools, students, and communities through our Learning for Justice initiative to reach our goal of justice for all. Our Civil Rights Memorial Center in Montgomery, Alabama to honor the martyrs of the civil rights movement and to inspire visitors to continue to march for racial equity and social justice.

The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) litigates on behalf of death row prisoners, juveniles, people wrongly convicted or charged with violent crimes, poor people denied effective legal representation, and others whose trials are marked by racial bias or prosecutorial misconduct. EJI is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.

Dedicated to exonerating innocent people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent wrongful convictions. The Innocent Project works to exonerate the innocent who have been wrongfully convicted, improve case law through targeted legal work, reform to prevent wrongful conviction, support exonerees as they rebuild their lives post-release, research and educate on legal and policy work, and build through alliances with other organizations.
