At Providence Animal Center we offer exceptional, affordable and life-affirming rescue, adoption, medical care and training of companion animals and serve as a community resource that inspires others to embrace the human-animal bond. We make ocean issues accessible and engaging, bringing science, political action and communications together to condition the social climate for change and protect the ocean for future generations.

In response to the catastrophic wildfires that decimated some of LA’s neighborhoods, Better Angels has launched a rapid-response Emergency Assistance Fund to support low-income families that have been impacted by the fires. The grants can be used for essentials, including food, clothing, and personal items. Applications will be reviewed, and funds will be distributed, daily.

The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is committed to raising awareness and educating the public about the most common cancer in men ages 15–44, while providing lifesaving support to patients, survivors, and caregivers with compassion and care. Our Mission? Awareness . . Support . . Survivorship We are a nonprofit compassionately dedicated to the fight against testicular cancer through awareness and outreach, promoting the importance of monthly self-exams for early detection, support and guidance to patients and families, providing a resource for the medical community, providing financial assistance to those in need and continuing to save lives. We stress the importance of early detection through the practice of monthly testicular self-exams (TSE), just as women are taught to detect early signs of breast cancer through monthly breast self-exams. We are fighting to make TSE part of health education classes taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels. We seek to reduce the great stigma and taboo associated with talking about testicular health; most teenagers and young men are embarrassed to openly talk about their bodies and the changes taking place. We do this simply by talking about testicular cancer, its impacts and how to recognize the signs through regular testicular self-exams. We assist patients in seeking the most effective treatments for testicular cancer that yield the best outcomes. Testicular cancer is not as common as many of the other cancers and as a result some medical facilities are inexperienced in the treatment of this disease and may be unaware of the most effective protocols. It is crucial when diagnosed with testicular cancer that the patient has access to the most reliable and expert care that yields the best treatment plans and outcomes resulting in lifesaving measures. We seek to reduce the financial burden of a testicular cancer diagnoses by empowering the patient with resource information for financial assistance through the use of online fundraising tools. We also provide limited funding to those in immediate financial need, including helping with gas, groceries and more. We provide an online private support group to help connect those who have been affected by this disease. The role of emotional and psychological support in the management of testicular cancer is extremely important and vital to an individual's overall well-being. We have over 4,000 active members in our private support group, fostering a strong and supportive community through meaningful conversations. Our programs: Financial Assistance Program - Provides direct financial aid as well as other resources for financial assistance. Academic Education Program - Provides academic and health professionals, such as teachers, coaches, doctors and nurses with the knowledge and tools to educate students and patients about the importance of early detection of testicular cancer. Centers of Excellence - Features a comprehensive list of centers recognized for their expertise in the treatment of testicular cancer. Outreach & Awareness Program - Organizes events, fundraisers, and conferences while distributing educational materials nationwide to spread awareness. Utilizes social media as a key tool for outreach. Testicular Cancer Conferences - Brings together an international community of TC patients, survivors, and their loved ones to address the physical and emotional challenges of diagnosis and treatment at a young age. Covers life during and after cancer, lifestyle changes for healing, and features a panel of medical experts providing essential information and long-term survivorship resources. Research Studies - Collaborates with researchers to advance the understanding of testicular cancer survivorship. The mission of the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation (PHRF) is to support research dedicated to finding a treatment, and hopefully an eventual cure of Pitt Hopkins and other similar disorders. Made up of families for families, the PHRF is also dedicated to supporting PTHS children with resource recommendations, parental support and the latest medical information.Our board and officers are parents and professionals who volunteer their time, so that over 93% of all funds raised and donated go to finding a cure. Our goal is to find a treatment as quickly as possible that will help give our children fuller, higher functioning lives.

Our unique, onsite personalized approach allows each person to thrive socially, mentally, and physically, and make positive, permanent life changes.As a Trauma Informed Care agency, we place an emphasis on interventions, decision-making, and infrastructure designed to promote healthy relationships based on self-care, safety, compassion, and understanding of the unique experiences of children, families, and staff.Services include residential treatment, foster care, adoption, independent living, targeted case management, therapy and counseling services to meet all mental health needs for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in Northern Kentucky.

Maestra Music, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization based in New York that provides support, visibility, and community to the women and nonbinary people who make the music in the musical theater industry. Maestra envisions a world in which women and nonbinary people have equitable access, visibility, and creative impact in the musical theater industry. In this future, at least half of all music-related theater jobs and leadership roles are filled by qualified women and nonbinary musicians, decidedly inclusive of people of color. These musicians are historically and consistently under-represented in musical theatre. By delivering on our mission, we will be a catalyst and driving force to help achieve gender equity in our business.

Each month, 1 in 4 residents turn to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for emergency and supplemental food. Many of our neighbors are unable to make ends meet and the Food Bank helps them cover one of life’s basic needs — nutritious food. We strive to serve all people experiencing hunger or food insecurity in Solano and Contra Costa counties and commit to never turn anyone away.
