SeaTrees protects and restores coastal ecosystems to protect ocean health and fight climate change. The organization works with communities around the world to plant and protect mangrove and kelp forests, seagrass meadows, coral reefs, and coastal watersheds. The regeneration and protection of these ecosystems provide critical habitat for countless species, sustainable long-term employment for local communities, and protect communities from storm surges and sea-level rise.

Our vision is of a world in which every person – regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity – enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and other internationally recognized human rights standards. The UDHR states that the "the recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights" of all people is "the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world."

To create a community that raises awareness and combats suicide by empowering veterans, first responders, and their families through traditional and non-traditional therapies.

Lidè is an educational initiative in rural Haiti that uses the arts and literacy to empower at-risk adolescent girls and help them transition into school or vocational training. The Lidè program seeks to uplift women and girls who have been denied equal access to education. Lidè trains and employs Haitian teachers and collaborates with grassroots schools and programs. In Lidè programs participants gain life and leadership skills and help foster the community support they need to begin their educational journey. The Lidè Foundation believes that arts in education inspires personal empowerment, resilience and self-efficacy. Lidè means both “Leader" and “Idea" in Haitian Creole.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has served as a leader in philanthropy for 30 years, bringing good people and good causes together in 43 counties in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky. The mission of the George Lopez Foundation is to create positive, permanent change for underprivileged children, adults and military families confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.

Defy’s mission is to change mindsets to give people with criminal histories their best shot at a second chance. Defy’s vision is to reduce recidivism by 50% by leveraging entrepreneurship as a tool to increase economic opportunity and transform lives. They work to transform the skillsets and mindsets of currently and formerly incarcerated adults as well as the hearts and minds of the business community in support of a common thesis that people with a criminal history deserve a fair chance to reenter society and fulfill their potential.

Wags and Walks is a community of dog lovers working to promote shelter dogs as the best dogs in the world through advocacy of our unique family-friendly foster and adoption programs. Wags and Walks is dedicated to rescuing family-friendly dogs from shelters and finding them suitable permanent homes. Working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers, we are able to rescue hundreds of dogs every year and provide them with loving temporary care while finding them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes.

To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery. Among many of their impactful tools the “Find Help” tool offers 24-hour helplines for when immediate help is needed under the following specific categories: suicide, trauma, LGBTQIA+, veterans, eating disorders, depression + anxiety, self-injury and addiction. Through donations TWLOHA seeks to educate communities, provide hope and encouragement, and connect people to the help they deserve.

Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization formed in 1999, uses music and entertainment to promote and complement the healing process for patients in the interest of improving their quality of life and creating a better living and healing environment. Additionally, Musicians On Call seeks to raise awareness of the beneficial effects of music and entertainment for people in healthcare facilities.

Giving Opportunity to Children GO Campaign identifies deserving Local Heroes throughout the world and partners with these grassroots organizations to provide children and young adults with critical services, resources and needed opportunities. We offer support and raise awareness about these small, highly-impactful organizations that might not otherwise come to your attention. After vetting our partners to make sure they meet our grant-making criteria, the most important thing we do is LISTEN.  We never go into a community and tell them their school needs a library or their children need better food or cleaner water – we let them tell us what they need, and we listen as they explain what impact fulfilling that need will have.  We then brainstorm with them about the best way forward.  They know best the needs of their community and we want to help them achieve their dreams and goals.  That’s why the projects we support vary greatly – because the needs and priorities of children are different everywhere we GO.
