CoachArt’s mission is to create a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness. Children living with chronic illness may feel isolated because of their condition. Frequent hospital visits and deficient immune systems often cause them to miss time in school and recreational activities. Families, overwhelmed by the cost and demands of ongoing medical care, often lack the resources to seek out or afford extracurricular activities. Healthy siblings are affected too when family resources are focused on a chronically ill child. CoachArt supports these families by offering free recreational lessons that bring a sense of normalcy back into their lives. Since 2001, CoachArt has matched volunteer coaches with students for one-on-one or group lessons in arts and athletics. Our vision is that one day every family impacted by chronic illness will be connected to a community of support and an opportunity to learn and grow together.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a nonpartisan organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States. The Alliance analyzes data and research so that policymakers, practitioners, and the public have the best information about trends in homelessness and emerging solutions. The Alliance also provides capacity-building assistance to help communities turn policy solutions and proven best practices into viable, on-the-ground programs.

EQuip Our Kids!, a project of Earthways Foundation, is a national nonprofit campaign raising needed awareness about and support for EQ life skills, especially among parents and businesses. Founded by civic-minded media, business and social entrepreneurs with no financial stake in the outcomes, our goal is comprehensive EQ life skills instruction in every U.S. pre-K-12 classroom by 2030.

Founded in 1990, the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) is the oldest and largest myeloma-specific charity in the world. With more that 350,000 members in 140 countries, the IMF serves myeloma patients, family members, and the medical community. The IMF provides a wide range of programs in the areas of Research, Education, Support and Advocacy.

Trans Can Work (TCW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California, and is committed to advancing workplace inclusion through innovative training strategies and workforce development. Music is a unifying experience that the world shares. It is what unites us and makes us live in the moment together. We believe our mission is to share this experience with our community by providing access to the schooling, culture, creation, and performance of this art form. Kainga Music established its non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) in 2014 with a mission statement Creating Music, Uniting People, Building Communities. Music is uplifting, healing, and gives the opportunity for starting and strengthening the bond between people of different backgrounds, genders, and ages. The featured instrument in the school, the steel pan, is played throughout the country of origin, Trinidad & Tobago, in community centers called “Panyards” that welcome the variety of members in the surrounding neighborhoods to find a common place and common voice.

Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach out to at-risk homeless youth living on the streets and offer them hope and opportunities to turn their lives around. We help abused or neglected youth who have nowhere else to go. A large number have been thrown out of their homes while others have aged out or left the foster care system with no family, no support, and no one to turn to. Since 1988, CHC has impacted the lives of more than 160,000 homeless youth out of our Los Angeles and Bay Area locations. More than 80% of our funding comes from private donations.
