YICE is a not for profit organization in Uganda with the main aim of implementing sustainable food systems for improved food security, nutrition, climate adaptation and economic resilience for displaced persons. We achieve this by building the capacity of displaced women and youth to sustainably achieve food security, improve their health, restore soils and water and become economically resilient. Our intervention brings together local community stakeholders, including agricultural organizations, the local government, and community members to participate in tailored practical trainings in regenerative farming and climate change awareness, followed up by ongoing direct support to establish traditional food gardens and fruit tree plantings to strengthen community's climate adaptation and resilience. We incorporate cross-cutting concepts such as market linkages, financial literacy, and gender awareness. The solution targets refugees, internally displaced persons and host communities across Uganda.

To promote empowerment programs for better Health, Education and Livelihoods for disadvantaged populations. ................................................................................................... Here are some key areas where we seek partnership and support: 1. Education for Needy Children: We run programs that provide access to quality education for underprivileged children, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to thrive in their academic pursuits. We provide fees, scholastic materials, uniforms and shoes to the disadvantaged children. We plan to fundraise, get fees and educational materials for needy children dropping out of school over poverty and abandonment. We plan to purchase land for the construction of a primary school for these children. 2. Women and Youth Empowerment: Our organization offers empowerment workshops, financial literacy trainings, and support services to help women and youth in marginalized communities achieve economic independence and self-sustainability. We are planning to establish a vocational training school for children who complete senior four and senior six and are unable to continue with the education over finances. We also plan to scale up our financial literacy training programs and train women in vegetable growing. 3. Environmental Conservation: We are actively involved in conservation efforts, including tree planting, waste management, and sustainable agriculture practices to preserve and protect our environment for future generations. Uganda was named the Pearl of Africa because of the beautiful scenery and climate but the forests and vegetation cover have reduced due to environmental degradation and the temperatures are now raising. We plan to establish nursery beds and plant one million trees in the eight districts of Rwenzori Western Uganda. We are doing this under our Greening Uganda Schools and communities Project. 4. Human Rights Advocacy: PLATFORM for the NEEDY advocates for the rights of vulnerable populations, including refugees, internally displaced persons, and marginalized groups, to ensure their voices are heard and respected. We plan to advance our advocacy to the deeper rural populations and refugees and take there our outreach counselling and training conferences and educate them with live drama episodes. 5. Maternal Health Initiatives: We have ongoing programs focused on improving maternal health outcomes through access to healthcare services, prenatal care, and maternal education. We intend to fundraise for the stunting children in Rwenzori region .Under this project we shall create more awareness using radio drama, social media, TVs, trainings and conferences for local leaders and health workers at all level, establish demonstration vegetable gardens at every household and every school and school debating competitions. We believe that by joining forces with Global Giving that offers visibility and connectivity to organizations with different partners and donors, we can leverage our collective strengths to create a more sustainable and equitable future for communities in Uganda and beyond. Empower World Wide exist to empower women, girls, children and youth in the local communities, come out of spiritual, economic, social, and healthy poverty caused by gender-based violence, and enable them to develop into responsible and self-supporting adults to transform their communities through a holistic empowerment approach. Empower Worldwide works with children, women and youth to improve their livelihood and create resilient communities. We are community based, community driven and child centred organisation. Empower World Wide, achieves its mission through; 1. Providing scholarships and eduction support to poor of the poorest girls and boys in the rural poor. 2. We work to protect girls in the community they live by making these communities safer for them. 3. We empower caregivers to take on their roles of supporting their family by economically empowering them with income generating skills. 4. We prepare girls and boys for tomorrow by ensuring that they learn atleast a skill that can fetch them an income. 5. We mainly focus on child' education by ensuring that the child completes atleast primary school. 6. Through our work we end early marriages, child toture, child neglect and invest in child protection. 7. We support poor families to become productive in their communities through a poverty graduation program. 8. We mobilise poor rural communities to participate in productive saving and credit associations and support them to grow thier incomes which helps them to take children to school. 9. We make sure that the schools are safe, children have water and a good enviroment that enables them to learn.
