The BBA exists to support, help and comfort those members of the Bar in England and Wales and their dependants who are in need, in distress or in difficulties. During the recent past we have helped barristers and their families in every circuit, often saving not only dignity but careers.

We are an independent charity and we are self-funding, raising money locally and relying on fundraising activities and public support to allow us to continue rescuing and giving animals in our community a second chance.

Every animal in our care needs a new loving home including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets. We share the same values as the national RSPCA but are an independently funded charity, founded solely for the benefit of animals across Northamptonshire. We rely on the generosity of kind donations.

We are a small but very busy dog rehoming charity in Cornwall. We take in stray and unwanted dogs and help them to find happy new homes. We are totally dependent on kind donations from our supporters to enable us to do our work.

The Enterprise Club for Disabled People provides and assists in the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for the recreation and leisure time occupation of people with disabilities in Coventry and the surrounding districts with the object of improving their quality of life.

The Floating Classroom offer imaginative and engaging experiences inspired by London’s waterways and green spaces. We encourage curiosity, take delight in discovery and forge a sense of kinship with the natural world for people living in the city.

In January 1890 notices appeared in the “Bradford Observer” inviting people to form a Cinderella Club. Since then Bradford Cinderella Club has existed to assist underprivileged children within the Bradford area to take part in activities in the same way as their more fortunate school mates.

Sight Support is a registered charity which aims to improve and enrich the quality of life for people with sight loss in Hull and East Yorkshire.It receives no government funding and relies on donations to continue its work. 86p from every £1 donated is spent on the charity's support services.

Samaritans is available 24 hours a day to provide confidential, non-judgmental, emotional support to anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. The Sheffield branch receives over 30,000 calls a year - by phone, e-mail or visit - and is entirely reliant on voluntary support
