We also have maps and atlases, business directories/indexes, a vertical file containing government pamphlets, documents, travel brochures and more, a Career Resource Centre with up-to-date college and university calendars, telephone directories, encyclopedias, and large print books. Or if it's information you want, We have an extensive inhouse collection of reference and research materials - or use our online resources.

The Youville Centre is a community health resource established by the Grey Nuns in 1984. Our mission is to enhance the health of individuals, families and communities. For thirty years, Youville Centre has provided a diverse mix of services geared toward healthy living. These services range from health care and wellness education, to counselling and support. We encourage people to become involved in the management of their own health concerns, and help them identify activities and programs that are of most benefit to them.

COLE HARBOUR RURAL HERITAGE SOCIETY & FARM MUSEUM

The Cole Harbour Rural Heritage Society has been collecting, preserving, and protecting Cole Harbour’s cultural and natural heritage for 40 years. A community response to the rapid change from rural to urban landscape, the Society continues to champion this once prosperous agricultural community and bring its story to life at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum, an original 200 year old farm. "The Farm" is a community museum dedicated to preserving and interpreting Cole Harbour's agricultural past, and to developing an understanding of plants, animals and farming today. It relies heavily on community support and volunteers. Admission to the Farm is by donation so that the community may visit often and stay connected our rural roots!

Columbia Bible College

Columbia Bible College is located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, and provides faith formation and professional ministry preparation for Christians of all ages as well as supports the churches of the region in the fulfillment of their mission. The College provides both formal and non-formal learning opportunities alongside its role as a resource center for theological information in the region. Theologically, CBC is evangelical Anabaptist and is operated by two regional Mennonite conferences, British Columbia Mennonite Brethren and Mennonite Church British Columbia. Columbia is accredited by the international Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), and is registered with the British Columbia Private Career Training Institution Association (PCTIA).

COMITE POPULAIRE ST-JEAN-BAPTISTE

Who are we? An advocacy group The fundamental mission of the Comite popular is to promote the social, economic, political and cultural rights of people living in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood. The Comite popular focuses on urban development and housing rights. Urban development The committee members are particularly sensitive to urban development projects and intervene when necessary. Similarly, the committee is also planning urban proposals that reflect the aspirations of local people. Right to housing The committee provides a service of help and reference on the rights of tenants and struggle to increase the number of social housing (eg, develop cooperative housing projects). Some services: - L'Infobourg, a neighborhood newspaper - Le Vestiaire du Faubourg, a clothing store - A community composting site

COMMUNITY HOMELESS SHELTER

Operating under the umbrella of Cape Breton Community Housing Association, the Community Homeless Shelter is a non-profit, charitable organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mandate of the shelter is to provide safe emergency accomodations for homeless individuals in a manner that respects their diverse experiences and needs. The shelter also assists clients in accessing available resources within the community as needed and provides on-going support and rehabilitative services through in-house programs and counseling. A referral service for females requiring emergency shelter is also provided.

Community Living-Central Huron provides a variety of staffing supports to adults & children with a developmental disability. These supports include: 24 hr in-home assistance; independent living assistance; employment; social & recreational participation opportunities; respite for families; aid for individuals and/or families with advocacy issues; and assistance to access specialized supports and services.
