We are very glad to inform you all on our latest decision made by the board to build our new Temple in a new centralized location closer to the airport. The Hindu Society of North Carolina was founded in 1979 with a mission to serve the Hindu community and promote Hindu culture through religious, social and educational activities. There has been tremendous effort, time and money put in by our founders and volunteers for last 38 years. By 2019, we will celebrate its 40 years of existence. We want to celebrate this landmark occasion with a brand new grand looking temple with more amenities within. This is the only way, our new generation can express our sincere gratitude to the founders of this society.

Awana is a world-wide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for ages 2-18. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

For Kids' Sake supports six facilities that provide food, clothing, housing, education and overall care for 550 orphans. These sites also host fully registered schools that offer education from kindergarten through high school to more than 3,500 children from surrounding villages. All told, we support 4,000 children through our six orphanages and schools every month. In addition to donations, our orphanages and schools are financially supported by a number of local, income-generating projects that include: aquaculture, dairy farming, vegetable and fruit cultivation, irrigation services, a ferryboat and village market stall rentals. These projects provide vocational training for the children, as well. Over 100 Bangladeshis are employed by FKS facilities and projects, which helps to stimulate the local economy.​

DOOR is a gateway for encountering the city through the eyes, ears, and heart of God. We are dedicated to providing life-changing experiences for our participants rooted in relationship and solidarity with local communities and neighborhoods. All of our programming grows out of a commitment to mutual respect and thoughtful reflection.

We care about the hurting, the disconnected, the seeker, and the outcast. In fact, we are those people. We desire to become a people who can live in, thrive in, and impact any city or region of the world. As a result, we try to remain teachable, flexible and uncomfortable in our every day lives. We believe in friendships that can survive sin, tragedies and life’s other great disappointments. In fact, it’s those great disappointments that are now shaping our most significant relationships. We long to connect people with their passion, gift mix, and calling – and ultimately a community in which to live those out. As a result, we see ourselves as a global missionary and ministry training center.
