THE MISSION OF THE CONGRESSIONAL HUNGER CENTER, INC. IS TO TRAIN AND INSPIRE LEADERS WHO WORK TO END HUNGER, AND ADVOCATE PUBLIC POLICIES THAT CREATE A FOOD SECURE WORLD. THE CENTER IS A LEADER IN THE MOVEMENT TO ENSURE ACCESS TO FOOD AS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT FOR ALL PEOPLE. THE CENTER CREATES AND NURTURES A COMMUNITY OF INNOVATIVE AND INSPIRING LEADERS WHO ACT AS CHANGE AGENTS, BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN GRASSROOTS EFFORTS AND NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC POLICY TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO NUTRITION, AFFORDABLE AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE FOOD.

Child Nutrition Program, Inc distributes federal funds to child care providers in order to help eligible child care homes and child care centers serve nutritious meals, teach children about healthy eating, and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.

The mission of Farm Rescue is to help family farms and ranches bridge crises so they have an opportunity to continue viable operations. Farm Rescue provides planting, haying, harvesting, and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranch families that have experienced a major injury, illness, or natural disaster.

The mission of the Captain Planet Foundation is to give the next generation of environmental stewards an active understanding and love for the natural world in which they live. Our unique program of funding and supporting hands-on environmental projects is designed to encourage innovative initiatives that inspire and empower children and youth around the world as they work individually and collectively creating environmental solutions in their homes, schools, and communities.

To sponsor events that bring together professional leaders of agricultural businesses, production systems, and institutions of higher education – with students – for the purpose of building personal relationships, exchanging ideas, and improving communications, while raising funds for scholarships. In the spring of 2019 Targeting Excellence will have awarded over 1 million in scholarships to students since our founding in 2013.

Our Mission: To leave no child hungry. We believe a child will study more and have more opportunity for success if they start their day with a full belly versus thinking about if they will have a next meal.

THE MISSION OF FORSYTH FARMERS' MARKET, INC. IS TO INCREASE UNDERSTANDING AND PARTICIPATION IN A LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM THAT SUPPORTS SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION AND INCREASES ACCESS TO LOCAL PRODUCTS. BY PURSUING THIS MISSION THE COMMUNITY OF SAVANNAH WILL BENEFIT FROM BETTER DIET AND NUTRITION, DECREASED HEALTH CARE COSTS, STRONGER AND HEALTHIER COMMUNITY INTERACTION, AND A STRONGER LOCAL ECONOMY.

FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION

The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion, and education. We accomplish this goal by collecting, storing and distributing food and related items to more than 400 qualified, non-profit agencies engaged in feeding the needy, elderly, disabled, and seriously ill families and children throughout counties in central South Carolina.
