Sambhali Trusts' primary objective is to promote self-esteem, economic independence, and the development of educational, vocational and social skills for disadvantaged women and girls within Rajasthani society. We focus our work on women within the Dalit communities, who experience three levels of discrimination based on their caste, their economic situation and their gender. We strongly pursue and encourage the aim of gender equality whilst being sensitive to cultural norms.

Turning Point is a Christian charity working in the Nairobi slums. FirstLight Trust's mission is to rehabilitate those leaving and those who have left the Armed Forces and Emergency Services back into their communities, whatever that looks like for each individual. FirstLight Trust's key motivation for helping members of the military and emergency service community is the lack of grass roots support readily available to those who are frequently considered by other charitable organisations to be beyond available resources, who have 'fallen through the net' of charitable support. These individuals may have been discharged prior to their diagnosed needs having been met, or before the full depth of (complex) need has been identified; after leaving they have often spiralled down through debt, addictions, may be unemployed or are often deemed 'unemployable'. FirstLight Trust has and continues to fine-tune the delivery of such support and services to those who have 'fallen through the net' whilst increasingly, as each hub beds into its community, supporting those who have not yet reached these stages. This motivation to 'do something' practical imbues the charity; veteran's needs (not neediness) lie at the heart of all that it does. FirstLight is a solutions-based charity; when problems present through the door (and every member of the charity works at the cliff face dealing with veterans in need) the charity aims to find solutions. Hence its increasing focus on the problems caused by isolation and mental health. Doing nothing or 'handing off' problems is not a solution that FirstLight is comfortable with nor does it answer the problems or needs; and every attempted suicide in a community highlights the ever-growing need for practical, community-based solutions.

KIDS FOR KIDS aims to help children living in remote villages in Darfur, Sudan who live lives of inexcusable hardship and to give them the chance of a better life. We seek to enable families to stay in their villages in the midst of the conflict by helping to improve their lives and livelihoods and lifting them out of poverty. Our long-term aim is to give Darfur a chance by sustaining villages as vibrant institutions - without this people living in the camps will have nothing to return to once peace is restored.

Act4Africa aims to change five million lives. Improving health/well-being, gender justice, and income generation for women in Africa's poorest communities We plan to do this through education which can encourage independence.

LifeTime Projects organises humanitarian and ecological projects in Bolivia, Guatemala, England and Cameroon. Our projects are all set up with local partner organizations in order to help build upon ongoing projects designed by, and for local people to help and empower vulnerable children, women and families and/or to protect local wildlife.

Her Equality Rights and Autonomy's (HERA) overall aims are: (1) to prevent trafficking and re-trafficking of young women; (2) to assist trafficked and other women survivors of violence, conflict, and exploitation build on the resilience they have demonstrated to achieve their ambitions for a better life; and (3) to engage the business community in countering trafficking and support women's entrepreneurship.
