Our mission is to advance the playing field that empowers her through sport and play.

Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. is a volunteer grassroots organization whose mission is to promote and strengthen friendships between teens from divided communities and extend those friendships to their families and friends. The friendships are developed through homestays with American families. Each family hosts two teens – one from each side of a conflict. The teen pair shares a bedroom and learns about each other, understanding their different perspectives and realizing that friendships can develop despite significant political and cultural differences. With friendship, an atmosphere is created that allows for mutual respect and understanding – a key ingredient for peace. CFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States. Our volunteers were active in Northern Ireland from 1987 until 2007. We are currently active in Cyprus since 2009 and in Israel/Palestine since 2018. In our efforts to maintain neutrality, we do not accept government funding and rely solely on gifts from individuals, charitable foundations, and businesses who wish to make a difference for peace in the world. Caring Hearts Ministry is an interdenominational non-profit whose mission is to be a blessing to the people in the extremely poor border town of San Luis Rio Colorado in Sonora, Mexico. Currently this is being accomplished through short terms missions trips and a permanent local Church. This local church parters with our other ministries such as Oasis Boys' Home, Medical Outreaches, A Soup Kitchen, Drug Rehab Center, and Blind Center. With hundreds of short term missionaries visiting these sites every year, Caring Hearts is focused on our mission presented in Matthew 25.

Global Volunteers is an international development organization mobilizing teams of short-term volunteers on long-term development projects to help children reach their full potential abroad and in the U.S. We work with and under the direction of local leaders in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, North America, South America and the South Pacific to provide the essential services to families as prescribed by the United Nations. Founded in 1984, we are in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and cooperate with other U.N. agencies such as UNICEF.

The Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation teaches Americans about the academic and financial needs of Ukrainian Catholic educational institutions in Ukraine. In a sincere commitment to personal involvement and high standards, the UCEF works with these institutions hands-on to meet present needs and develop resources for the future. Through grant and endowment programs, distribution of books and teaching materials, and collaborative volunteer projects, emphasizing foreign exchange of students and faculty, we foster the communion of Ukrainian Americans with the Ukrainian nation and of Roman Catholics in the West with the largest Eastern Catholic Church.

Our purpose is to serve the needs, promote the interests, and enhance the well-being of low-income, diverse immigrant and refugee communities across metropolitan Chicagothrough social services, advocacy, educational programming and assistance for youth, adults, the elderly and small businesses.
