HRA is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable business development and investment in the Haiti. HRA facilitates innovative development strategies and planning throughout the Caribbean and within its Diaspora communities by leveraging financial, human and social capital to support economic development. Since the 2010 earthquake, the Haiti Renewal Alliance (HRA) has been actively involved is disaster preparedness, well as engaging the diaspora in supporting the government and international community in disaster relief efforts. HRA has recently partnered with the Organization of Humanitarian Assistance at the United Nations (OCHA) to coordinate diaspora response to humanitarians disaster relief efforts. Our Fundraising effort Fundraising effort The southern coast of Haiti has been devastated by Hurricane Matthew. The catastrophic damage came with little warning. 2.1 million people are affected, 1.140 million are in need of humanitarian assistance. 90% of the homes have been destroyed, most have lost nearly every possession including homes and businesses. In addition to their individual losses, they have seen the widespread devastation to their friends, families, churches and local businesses that provide material and spiritual sustenance to their lives. The destruction and lack of infrastructure impede on the delivery of much needed humanitarian assistance to the affected community. HRA has been authorized to be the fiscal agent of the diaspora fundraising effort for short term relief, long term recovery and sustainability of the affected areas. The goal is to raise $100,000,000 (one hundred million dollars) to rebuild the destroyed homes and infrastructure of the affected communities. Of the funds collected, 80% will go toward rebuild and the recovery of local communities, 10% toward funding diaspora-led relief initiatives, 5% will be designated for long term disaster preparedness and 5% toward administrative cost.

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic

The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic's mission is to support and empower low-income women with cancer by providing free access to compassionate, integrative care, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, guided imagery, movement, and nutritional advice. These evidence-based modalities offer relief from the side effects of cancer and its treatments, and contribute to increased rates of survival and quality of life. They are rarely covered by insurance and are too costly for women living in poverty. Since 1991, CMC has provided integrative cancer care and health education free of charge to thousands of underserved women with cancer. Our vision is that all low-income women with cancer achieve the highest attainable health during their cancer journey.
