Elephant Haven - European Elephant Sanctuary (EHEES)

EHEES, Elephant Haven, European elephant sanctuary, is a sanctuary/retirement home for elephants from European zoos and circuses, which answers a legal need and requests from private owners. EHEES is a care center which offers the elephants a place for life and where their natural needs are respected and their diet is appropriate. It enables them to be re-socialized and rehabilitated in a protected environment. This is the true story of Gandhi and Delhi, Asian elephants, our two first retired residents in EHEES, the only elephant sanctuary in Europe. Indeed, in recent years, it has become both appropriate and necessary to create elephant placement centers in Europe. Private elephant owners, animal parks, zoos and other organizations may need a place for their elephant(s) to live. Almost all European countries ban wild animals from circuses, including France, where EHEES is situated. Bringing them back to their country of origin is not always possible. There was no place for housing the elephants in Europe. Retired elephants from zoos and circuses, like Gandhi and Delhi, our 2 first residents, have now a place for life. They, and the future other residents of Elephant Haven, need a lot of attention. Elephant Haven is expanding to be able to offer more elephants a place for life. Informative programmes about elephants and their behavior, in captivity and in the wild, will be organized to have a better understanding of elephants, as well as local fauna and flora. All this encourages a re-connection with nature and with all her creatures, to raise awareness and respect for the environment.

Association Kalaweit

The Kalaweit Association has been working for the protection of biodiversity in Indonesia since 1997. It creates protected areas and gives a second chance to animals victims of wildlife trafficking in Borneo and Sumatra. It works closely with local populations to protect their forests from destruction caused by palm oil plantations or the establishment of coal, gold or nickel mines. It has already saved more than 2,000 hectares of forest where exceptional biodiversity lives: gibbons, outan oranges, siamangs, nasics, Malay bears, Sumatra tigers, Asian tapirs, nebulous panthers, pangolins, etc. About 350 gibbons, siamangs, bears, crocodiles are placed in its 3 care centres, some will even be released. It employs 66 people in Indonesia, all employees are hired locally, and one in France. We are looking for financial support to enlarge the area of the forests we protect, one hectare costs between 1,200 and 1,400 depending on the area in which it is located. The plots are purchased from families who wish to sell them to us, with the agreement of the village leader. We propose to buy them at the market price, to protect them, unlike the palm oil companies that buy the land to destroy them and plant oil palm trees. The Dulan Reserve in Borneo, created by Kalaweit in 2019, is home to wildlife that has found refuge in it, there are 60 orang-outans, about 200 gibbons and many other species. In Sumatra, the creation of the Supayang Reserve by Kalaweit in 2012 allowed the Sumatra tigers to return to live there, they had disappeared from the area for several decades. Once the land was acquired by Kalaweit, everything was returned to the local population. Villagers can continue to benefit from the services provided by the forest (collection of rotting, fruit harvesting, etc.) but they can no longer hunt or cut trees there. We need to extend the Dulan Reserve by 1,000 hectares of forest and the Supayang reserve by 400 hectares.

Et Loisir Bleu - SIEL BLEU (Association)

Siel Bleu's Mission: empowering lives through movement At Siel Bleu, our mission goes beyond simply encouraging physical activity; we believe that movement has the power to transform lives. Through tailored and accessible physical activity programs, we strive to enhance the health, independence, and well-being of individuals, particularly older adults and vulnerable populations. Whether through community-based programs or collaborations with healthcare providers, we are committed to empowering people of all ages to lead healthier, more active lives. We know that the benefits of movement go far beyond physical fitness. Regular exercise can improve mobility, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, boost mental health, and combat isolation. For older adults and those facing physical or cognitive challenges, staying active is essential for maintaining a high quality of life. That's why we design our programs to meet individuals where they are, adapting each session to their abilities and needs. Whether it's through gentle movement, strength-building activities, or social engagement, our goal is to make every person feel capable, supported, and motivated to stay active. Our approach is grounded in inclusivity, which is why we make physical activity accessible to everyone. We understand that barriers to exercise-such as limited mobility, lack of motivation, or social isolation-can make it difficult for some to get started. By creating a safe and welcoming environment, we ensure that every participant can enjoy the benefits of movement, regardless of their starting point. Our programs are designed not just to improve physical health, but also to strengthen mental and emotional well-being, offering a holistic approach that focuses on the whole person. But our impact doesn't stop there. At Siel Bleu, we are also deeply committed to creating a sense of community and social connection. For many individuals, particularly older adults, isolation can be a major challenge. Our programs provide not only the physical benefits of exercise but also the social and emotional support that comes from being part of a group. By fostering meaningful relationships and bringing people together through shared activities, we combat loneliness and help individuals build stronger, more supportive social networks. We also recognize the critical role that caregivers and healthcare professionals play in the well-being of those we serve. Our programs support caregivers by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to care for others while also taking care of their own health. Through educational resources and hands-on support, we empower caregivers to integrate physical activity into their caregiving routines, improving their own health while enhancing the quality of life for those they care for. The heart of our mission is rooted in collaboration. By working alongside healthcare providers, local community organizations, and international partners, we build networks of support that create lasting change. Together, we strive to improve access to physical activity, reduce healthcare costs, and ensure that all individuals, regardless of age or ability, have the opportunity to live independently and participate fully in society. Siel Bleu currently operates across Europe, with a strong presence in France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Germany and Ireland, and we are excited to expand our reach further. We aim to bring our programs to more countries, ensuring that even more people benefit from the power of movement. Our goal is to create a widespread network that promotes active aging and supports individuals in living their lives to the fullest, regardless of their circumstances. At Siel Bleu, we are not just helping people move-we are helping them thrive. Our programs aim to create a world where health, mobility, and community are accessible to everyone. By empowering individuals through movement, we foster healthier, happier lives and build stronger communities where all individuals can contribute to society, regardless of their age or physical abilities. healthcare costs, and ensure that all individuals, regardless of age or ability, have the opportunity to live independently and participate fully in society. ONY

ONY supports Malagasy cultural and creative industries stakeholders in their development and professionalization through training, mentoring, access to international standard equipment, and networking opportunities. ONY's objective is to support and give visibility to Malagasy creativity, encourage collaborations between artists and creative people from different backgrounds, share skills and know-how between local, regional and international professionals, and eventually foster the emergence of an ecosystem of projects in the film, video game and music sectors. An ecosystem that would accelerate the development of cultural and creative industries in Madagascar and create a regional dynamic in the Indian Ocean, thus promoting economic opportunities, the identification of talents and cultural exchanges. To do so, ONY is developing 3 different programs: 1. ONY BOOSTER: an annual call for projects targeting emerging organizations in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) in Madagascar through a 6 to 12 months support (mentorship program, access to a wide international network of opportunities, access to the ONY House in Antananarivo, and personalized weekly coaching). 2. ONY Academy: through its partners, ONY engages with a wide network of professionals that deliver training and coaching to local artists and young people eager to make their talent grow in the cultural and creative industries. 4. ONY House: ONY has opened a unique hub in Antananarivo dedicated to CCIs. The 400m space will be operated by ONY and will provide local CCI entrepreneurs with a place with affordable but premium work conditions and the opportunity to showcase their artistic work to a wider audience.
