Wuqu' Kawoq's mission is to address the barriers to excellent health care that the majority of Guatemala's indigenous Maya population face, including principally the lack of access to health care in their own languages. As such, Wuqu' Kawoq develops primary care and health programs within a larger context of community vitality, family stability,and Mayan language revitalization.

Kupona Foundation was created in 2009 to support Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT). Kupona and CCBRT's mission is to prevent disability and maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity and to provide equitable access to affordable, quality medical and rehabilitative services. With a direct link to local activities, Kupona ensures maximum return on donor investment and programmatic benefit for CCBRT and its patients and clients. Supporting development of CCBRT's new maternal and neonatal health facility is a priority for Kupona Foundation.

Our mission is to promote prevention of infectious diseases (HIV, TB, and HPV) in Mali while working to develop vaccines for distribution on a not-for-profit basis in the developing world. The Foundation's activities are centered on four themes: education, prevention, access to care, and vaccines. Through our active, ongoing collaboration with West African physicians and support for prevention-related clinical activities in the region, we work to improve the health of Malian children and their parents while setting the stage for ethical vaccine trials.

Community Voices Heard is an organization of low income people, mostly women on welfare and public housing residents, working together to improve the lives of our members' families and all poor people in New York City and State. We are directed, run and being built by low-income people. We are a growing grass roots organization that uses public education, public policy research, community organizing, leadership development, voter education & mobilization, and direct action issue organizing to build our membership and to organize around issues that are defined by our membershiwe broadly define "welfare activism" to be multi issue, and thus must include issues such as education, training, jobs, housing, economic development and other community issues. We fill a critical gap in that our organization connects public policy with grass roots organizing and leadership development.

Agape International's mission is to love and care for the poorest of the poor that suffer as a result of the global AIDS crisis. We provide more than 240 children impacted by AIDS a family-style home, nutritious meals, medical care and an education in Hyderabad, India. SafeHouse Denver strives to: • intervene in domestic violence with services that empower adults, children and youth to live free from domestic abuse. • prevent domestic violence through education efforts that foster and support a broad movement for violence-free communities. • facilitate an interactive, collaborative community response to relationship violence that identifies victims earlier, makes victim services more accessible, and builds community awareness and accountability.

Their vision for the Knox County, Tennessee area is to create a community of strong, healthy families from the devastating effects of violence.

The mission of Synergy Services, Inc is to strengthen the individual, family, and community through crisis intervention, shelter, counseling, advocacy, and education. Synergy provides a "lifeline for families and individuals in crisis."  Through an interconnected set of services, the agency provides individuals and families with prevention education, immediate respite from violence, and support to assist them in their ability to find and choose good options for safe and successful futures.
