Our mission is to stop the cycle of child abuse and neglect by strengthening the family through home-based intervention programs designed to include not only parents but entire families. Programs focus directly on contextual factors such as poverty, single parenthood, family violence, mental health or addiction issues, patterns of abuse that can increase stress, weaken the family and illicit abusive behaviors. Women's Shelter, organized in 1976, began as a grassroots organization to offer safety and advocacy services to victims of domestic abuse and to their children. Women's Shelter's goal is to reduce domestic violence by offering alternative housing, reducing barriers to violence free living, educating the public about difficulties facing victims, and preventing future violence by working with the children.

Mission Statement: The Binaytara Foundation seeks to improve healthcare in resource poor communities and improve cancer care worldwide by collaborating with national and international organizations to: 1.) develop healthcare manpower in underserved areas 2.) improve access to cancer care by establishing direct care facilities and services 3.) promote the practice of evidence based medicine by providing research grants to young physicians and healthcare providers in training 4.) improve knowledge and competence of healthcare professionals by offering them continuing educational materials though live and virtual meetings, webinars, and other educational forums.
