Our Mission is to establish a network of support services to address the immediate and long-term needs of domestic violence victims. This includes shelters, counseling, legal aid, medical assistance, and rehabilitation programs. These programs encourage participants to set personal goals, develop resilience, and rebuild their lives free from abuse. By providing the necessary tools and support, we help individuals make positive changes that foster independence and self-determination. Ultimately, our efforts will foster safer and more equitable communities.

The Cocoon Shelter, so-named to reflect a victim's transformation as she achieves independence from interpersonal abuse, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a place for safety, healing, and justice for battered women and their children.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery improves the lives of children by providing immediate refuge and safety and ongoing family support in an environment of unconditional love. It is located in Spokane, Washington.

OUR MISSION is to protect the most defenseless among us, newborn infants, by educating and informing women and communities of safe, secret options under the Safe Haven Law.

The Latisha's House Foundation has a unique place in our community. It provides a safe, residential home for young women who are victims of human sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Lily Pad Haven 's mission is to provide transitional housing for survivors of human trafficking who need the comfort and protection of a healing, supportive environment to restore body, mind and spirit. They focus their efforts on providing an integrated system of care in collaboration with internal programs and community partners.

KidsFirst’s mission is to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect through Education, Advocacy, and Counseling, to empower and strengthen children and families. Our vision is that all children live in a safe, healthy, and nurturing home. We are dedicated to helping families by providing them with the tools they need to cope with difficult life circumstances before they become overwhelming. With counseling and family resource centers in Auburn and Roseville, our programs target the most vulnerable children, families and neighborhoods. We strengthen families by Educating, Advocating and Changing Lives. Our programs include Wellness, Information and Referral and Education and Outreach.

The mission of Crisis Center North is to empower victims of domestic violence and cultivate community attitudes and behaviors that break the cycle of violence.

The mission of the Lea County Sheriff’s Posse is to promote and enhance community service through an organization of dedicated volunteers and qualified members interested in supporting our law enforcement community. Volunteers assist at community events, and members aid the Sheriff’s administrative offices. Qualified volunteers attend a Reserve Deputy academy, are certified as armed patrol Reserve Members, and are commissioned by the Lea County Sheriff to assist Deputies in their duties.
