The mission of Everyday Blessings, Inc. is to provide high quality foster care for sibling groups through a live-in caregiver model.  We partner with community agencies and the children's families to transition each child into a safe, stable and permanent home.  This work is done while treating each child with the love, dignity and respect that they deserve.

The mission of Synergy Services, Inc is to strengthen the individual, family, and community through crisis intervention, shelter, counseling, advocacy, and education. Synergy provides a "lifeline for families and individuals in crisis."  Through an interconnected set of services, the agency provides individuals and families with prevention education, immediate respite from violence, and support to assist them in their ability to find and choose good options for safe and successful futures.

Providing Support for a Change

Provide a continuum of safe, confidential shelter options—from emergency shelter through transitional shelter.Provide a rich array of crisis intervention services, case management and emotional support to those we shelter as well as those who are waiting for shelter; helping them to rebuild their lives, free from fear.Address the many complexities and barriers associated with domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence and stalking on an individual level as well as a community systems level.Continue to reach out to survivors through individual advocacy, emergency case management and support groups after they leave shelter, offering an environment where survivors feel welcome and are encouraged to share their stories and their wisdom with others.

The Blue Ribbon Project is designed to be a community outreach in both the prevention of Child Abuse and a support network for abused and neglected children. At the Blue Ribbon Project, we understand that victims of child abuse carry a burden throughout their lives and the effects of abuse last a lifetime. That’s why we offer a variety of functional outreach programs that directly serve abused and neglected children in our community, youth in foster care, as well as adult survivors of abuse and neglect. Through our dedication to these children, we remain committed to achieving our vision of raising awareness around child abuse in our communities and acting as advocates for those affected by child abuse and neglect. Avalon Center works to end domestic and sexual violence by breaking the cycle of abuse through education, prevention, shelter and support services in the greater Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula communities.

The mission of Heartly House is to end intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human sex trafficking, and to provide victims with safety, shelter, and supportive services

The TEAM for West Virginia Children is a non-profit organization whose mission it is to work with communities and families to promote and advance the well-being of children, making their needs and healthy development a priority.

We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.For over 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. (DVSS) has advanced its work to prevent domestic violence and provide support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services are available twenty four hours a day. Our primary service area is New Hanover County. (Other areas are served as needed.)

We are guided by our Christian faith to address the impact of poverty and trauma on families with children in Halifax, Northampton, and Warren counties. We do this through advocacy, education, empowerment, and community collaboration.
