The BKFA works with organisations and communities to provide a clean birthing environment for women in developing countries in order to reduce the incidence of infant and maternal mortality. We respect peoples' dignity and values and work according to principles of basic human rights. We raise awareness, provide support and resources and act as a catalyst for the creation of birth attendant training programmes and community development projects.

We are an NGO that promotes and protects the rights of vulnerable and marginalised through community empowerment, action oriented research, policy dialogue, and legal aid in Uganda.

Graduate Women International (GWI), founded in 1919 as the International Federation of University (IFUW), is a worldwide, non-governmental organisation of women graduates. GWI advocates for women's rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education and training up to the highest levels. GWI's mission is to: Promote lifelong education for women and girls; Promote international cooperation, friendship, peace and respect for human rights for all, irrespective of their age, race, nationality, religion, political opinion, gender and sexual orientation or other status; Advocate for the advancement of the status of women and girls; and Encourage and enable women and girls to apply their knowledge and skills in leadership and decision-making in all forms of public and private life.

The Fund was established by Nelson R. Mandela in 1995 to address challenges faced by children and youth in South Africa. He donated a third of his salary to the establishment of the Fund for the five years of his presidency. The Umkhumbane Schools Project is an innovative partnership with and among the five secondary schools in the historic Cato Manor township area near Durban, South Africa. With a specific focus on mathematics and science, we are working to improve academic outcomes and enhance access to tertiary education in a disadvantaged community full of vitality and promise. Our approach models an innovative NGO-schools partnership that can be replicated in other disadvantaged settings.

RIJ is an independent non-profit organization that funds projects for people displaced by conflict around the world. RIJ supports projects that provide opportunities for people to lead an independent normal life while staying near to home and their loved ones; projects that enable people to give back to the community and make valuable contributions to the local economy as well as rebuilding their own future.
