The mission of the Sierra Gorda is to guide and coordinate the activities of its member organizations responsible for the conservation, restoration and sustainable development of the Sierra Gorda region and the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. Grupo Ecologico Sierra Gorda, the founding member organization of the Alliance, guides the work of the Alliance's partner organizations in: a) educating for a sustainable future; b) organizing community action and cross-sector cooperation; c) adopting holistic land management; d) promoting management of solid waste and recyclables; e) raising awareness and civic participation; f) bundling and communicating best practices; and g) generating a significant social return on investment.
Earth Trust works to give tools to tribals and villagers to farm their land in a sustainable way, to develop responsibility for Primary Health solutions with traditional answers and to give rural children inspiration, skills & passion for revitalising their communities & land. Seva Mandir's mission is to make real the idea of society consisting of free and equal citizens who are able to come together and solve the problems that affect them in their particular contexts. The commitment is to work for a paradigm of development and governance that is democratic and polyarchic. Seva Mandir seeks to institutionalise the idea that development and governance is not only to be left to the State and its formal bodies like the legislature and the bureaucracy, but that citizens and their associations should engage separately and jointly with the State. The mission briefly, is to construct the conditions in which citizens of plural backgrounds and perspectives can come together and deliberate on how they can work to benefit and empower the least advantaged in society.
Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in 13 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and raises funds for numerous long-term programs. These funds are used to support our local partners with the aims of alleviating poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change. We do this through education, nutrition, conservation and capacity building. Our work focuses upon 3 key objectives: awareness, impact and empowerment. The aim is to create awareness of global issues, have a direct impact on those issues locally and empower our alumni, be they volunteers, donors, staff or community members, to continue impacting local issues on a global level.
Our mission is to aid and support children suffering from poverty, sickness, lack of education or who have experienced physical or moral violence, by offering them the opportunity and the hope of a new life. It is an independent, lay organisation and is also designated an ONLUS (Non-profit organisation of social value). It operates without discrimination of culture, ethnicity and religion and upholds the United Nations rights of the child. The Foundation works around the world and is closest to the weakest and most neglected children offering them food, medicine, health care, education and programmes for social reintegration. In pursuing its goal, Mission Bambini is inspired by the following values: freedom, justice, truth, respect for others and solidarity.
Providing free shuttle service to children and youth with cancer from their communities to the public hospital , offering food, counseling and recreational and educational activities during their medical stay, contributing to the overall development of the patient through an optimal balance between his life and illness.
Our purpose is to reduce poverty, bring hope and solidarity to poor communities or individuals in France and worldwide. We bring assistance to families, children and young people but also to the most vulnerable (homelesses, migrants, prisoners etc.). We fight against isolation, help them to find employement and we ensure their social reintegration. We provide emergency responses but also long term support, development aid and we work on the causes of poverty. The action of Secours Catholique finds all its meaning in a global vision of poverty which aims at restoring the human person's dignity and is part and parcel of sustainable development. To do so, six key principles guide this action, both in France and abroad: Promoting the place and words of people living in situations of poverty Making each person a main player of their own development Joining forces with people living in situations of poverty Acting for the development of the human person in all its aspects Acting on the causes of poverty and exclusion Arousing solidarity The actions of Secours Catholique are implemented by a network of local teams of volunteers integrated into the diocesan delegations and supported by the volunteers and employees of the national headquarters. This daily mission led in the field by the local teams and delegations, with the support of national headquarters, pursues three major objectives which aim at exceeding the distribution action and limited aid: Receiving to reply to the primary needs (supplying food and/or health care aid, proposing accommodation, establishing an exchange and a fraternal dialogue, etc) Supporting to restore social ties (bringing together people in difficulty with an aim to reinsertion, encouraging personal initiatives and collective projects, establishing a mutual support helper-receiver of help relationship, etc) Developing to strengthen solidarity (proposing long lasting solutions, establishing a follow-up over the long term, encouraging collective actions carried out by people in difficulty etc.)

Our mission is to educate and improve access to knowledge and know-how of producers that are part of eligible local organizations, while applying innovative methodologies for value-chain optimization. Our end-goal is 3-fold: (1) To reduce poverty and income inequality through sustainable, wealth-generating programs; (2) To enhance human capital to meet the needs of a competitive global market; (3) To increase private and non-for-profit sectors co-investments for shared-value creation. Our team has a strong experience in various sectors, such as the handicraft and coffee sectors; we also prioritize critical areas such as technology; brand, marketing & communications; and, leadership development & entreprenuerialship; to deliver long-lasting results within the area of influence, operating in Chiapas, with scaling opportunities in vulnerable regions with indigenous populations in Mexico and in Latin America.
PSYDEH's current MISSION is to empower indigenous women and girls to lead the bottom-up, sustainable development of their own self-reliant communities in Mexico.
Create, train, and support a network of leaders who work collaboratively in order to positively impact the cause of social justice inside and outside of the classroom
Support the educational aspirations of young indigenous Oaxacan women from impoverished rural communities in the state. Support the successful completion of high school studies of our grantees and their ability to continue university level studies. Promote the holistic development of the grantees during their high schools studies enhancing their studies through workshops and courses regarding gender equity, prevention of adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STD), prevention of violence in dating relationships, environmental stewardship, and reading outside of school assignments. Include in the grant personal physical and mental health care to assure health issues do not impede their development. Encourage grantees who complete high school successfully to continue their studies at the university level through financial assistance, lodging and other support. In 2018 the Fondo is funding 34 young women in high school and 15 studying in university. Note: The high school level grantees live in their communities or a town nearby that offers high school level studies. Each month all the grantees gather at the Fondo office in the capital city for a weekend workshops and courses and receive their stipend for the following month as well as their expenses for travel.
