Action for Development assists communities in the achievement of their own development goals. In other words, it aims at ensuring a certain relief for the Afghan population through development programs. Our efforts are spent in ways that maximize the impact of any of our actions and we remain fully accountable to communities where our programs take place. The sustainability of any development program lies within the communities' acceptance of the change. For our action to produce lasting results, communities have to guide the use of resources and learn the managerial and technical skills to do so. This is why our approach is fundamentally community-based. We seek to provide fractured, new, or changing communities with opportunities to work together for a common purpose and the ability to undertake future endeavors of their own. Participation transforms communities into effective teams. Community involvement in project implementation, and interaction with development organizations leaves them more enabled, ensuring that subsequent programs have lasting effects. Community familiarity with the programs leaves them with expectations. These expectations drive the performance of future implementers and encourage them to engage in a process of learning. Thus the dynamics of development change. AfD also emphasizes collaboration with vertical programs and asks of other organizations what we ask of our team members - "How can we make sure that a wide range of health services are provided to people?" AfD believes that yields from separate but related development efforts are maximized through the integration and harmonization of programs. Today's efforts and resources should be used to enhance opportunities for a healthy and prosperous life. AfD is committed to helping Afghan communities according to their own development goals and to explore creative avenues to give Afghanistan Solutions for a Brighter Future.

Sambhali Trusts' primary objective is to promote self-esteem, economic independence, and the development of educational, vocational and social skills for disadvantaged women and girls within Rajasthani society. We focus our work on women within the Dalit communities, who experience three levels of discrimination based on their caste, their economic situation and their gender. We strongly pursue and encourage the aim of gender equality whilst being sensitive to cultural norms.

The International Blue Cross is one of the world's leading non-governmental organisations, caring for people harmed by or at risk from alcohol or illicit drug use. Our project work in prevention, treatment & counselling and aftercare focuses primarily on young and vulnerable people, and on those in extreme poverty. Through carefully researched and targeted interventions we advocate for evidence-based alcohol policies at the national and international level. In doing so, we seek to draw positive and dignified attention to the issues faced by dependent people and their families. Graduate Women International (GWI), founded in 1919 as the International Federation of University (IFUW), is a worldwide, non-governmental organisation of women graduates. GWI advocates for women's rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education and training up to the highest levels. GWI's mission is to: Promote lifelong education for women and girls; Promote international cooperation, friendship, peace and respect for human rights for all, irrespective of their age, race, nationality, religion, political opinion, gender and sexual orientation or other status; Advocate for the advancement of the status of women and girls; and Encourage and enable women and girls to apply their knowledge and skills in leadership and decision-making in all forms of public and private life.

The association develops and implements a methodology and a well-adapted support to enable people suffering from Alzheimer's disease or related conditions , from mild to moderate stages, to access cultural visits as well as workshops and artistic events. The structure trains and support museums educators from National Museums to lead the proposed activities. The association has created and implemented an innovative volunteer program to provide respite time for family caregivers through the mobilization of volunteers.

An estimated 800,000 children in the European Union are separated from an imprisoned parent on any given day. Yet few people are aware of the impact that a parent's incarceration can have on a child. Children separated from a parent in prison frequently experience multiple emotional and social difficulties associated with their parent's incarceration. They not only have to cope with the parent's absence and the disruption of the child-parent bond, but are also vulnerable to social exclusion, financial hardship, discrimination and shame. Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE) is a pan-European network which encourages innovative perspectives and practice to ensure that the rights of these children (as enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights) are fully respected and that action is taken to secure their well-being and healthy development. The network is a membership-based organisation made up of non-governmental organisations and individuals across Europe and beyond, linked by a staff team based at its French headquarters. Raising awareness among child-related agencies, prison services and policymakers to the specific needs of children of prisoners and promoting initiatives that take these needs into account, the organisation is seeking to: - Expand programmes that support the child-parent relationship and help minimise violence for children with an imprisoned parent; - Introduce the child's perspective throughout the criminal justice process, from arrest to resettlement; - Foster cross-sectoral collaboration among public and private agencies involved in supporting and making decisions about children of prisoners; - Obtain better information and greater visibility for prisoners' children and influence policy at the national, European and international level on their behalf; - Promote the exchange of initiatives, expertise and good practice for children with imprisoned parents; - Enhance the competence of professionals within the field. Working to foster the promotion and provision of policies, frameworks and meaningful action on behalf of children affected by parental incarceration to protect their development and well-being, our aim is to ease the burden of the imprisonment of a parent on the child.

The Habitat International Coalition (HIC) is the global network for rights related to habitat. Through solidarity, networking and support for social movements and organizations, HIC struggles for social justice, gender equality, and environmental sustainability, and works in the defense, promotion and realization of human rights related to housing and land in both rural and urban areas.
