Awaken Voices Domestic Violence Services

Our Mission is to establish a network of support services to address the immediate and long-term needs of domestic violence victims. This includes shelters, counseling, legal aid, medical assistance, and rehabilitation programs. These programs encourage participants to set personal goals, develop resilience, and rebuild their lives free from abuse. By providing the necessary tools and support, we help individuals make positive changes that foster independence and self-determination. Ultimately, our efforts will foster safer and more equitable communities.

Community Violence Solutions

Community Violence Solutions is one of the oldest Rape Crisis Centers in California, if not the nation. CVS was founded in 1974 and incorporated as a separate non-profit 501(C)(3) organization in 1977. In the past decade, the agency has more than doubled in size, primarily adding services aimed at children, youth and families. Our name change in 2001 reflects a growing continuum of services in Contra Costa and Marin Counties. Unsilenced Voices

Our goal is to rehabilitate Victims of domestic violence and spread awareness to create sustainable change surrounding this epidemic in communities around the globe. Unsilenced Voices was specifically formed to open up the conversation about Domestic Violence. Through speaking nationally and internationally about domestic abuse and sexual defilement, we hope to inspire survivors to speak on their own accounts. We are building shelters in Ghana and Sierra Leone, where we hope to give strength to the numerous women and children fleeing domestic violence in those countries. We are working in both countries with our partners on sensitization programs, comprehensive trainings and counseling for community members and victims of domestic violence.
