Asniya recruits medical and allied-health students as volunteers (“Asniya interns”) to deliver hands-on health and medical education on American Indian reservations, with the goals of improving preventive health knowledge, reducing disparities (including mental-health/suicide-prevention work), and inspiring reservation youth toward careers in the health sciences. Both feature 24-hour emergency departments, with a Level II Trauma Center based at LCMC.Lahey's community-based physicians have a wide range of special interests. Many of the community group practices feature adult internists, pediatricians, and family practice specialists. With community practices in more than a dozen towns, Lahey Clinic serves communities as diverse as Ipswich on the North Shore, Lexington in Boston's Northwestern Suburbs, and Haverhill on the New Hampshire border.Lahey Clinic Medical Center is a teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine. In addition, many of our physicians hold teaching assignments at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine. The Clinic maintains residency and fellowship programs for more than 100 new physicians in 19 specialties.As a research center, Lahey Clinic offer patients access to clinical trials of new therapies for diseases such as diabetes, prostate cancer, heart disease, and cataracts. Founded in 2014 when Halle Dicrosta was diagnosed with Hodkin's lymphoma. She has now been in remission for over a year! H.D. Strong was created to raise money for the Smilow cancer center at Yale in New Haven, CT to continue to provide the best care possible to those battling cancers. Our goal for H.D. Strong is to raise $500.00 for each bike rider on the H.D. Strong team for the closer to free ride on September 11, 2016.
