Hospice House provides short-term, social-model residential care and community bereavement/support services to people at the end of life and their families, offering those services free of charge. It emphasizes compassionate, home‑like care, caregiver support, and ongoing bereavement resources for the surrounding community.

Resilience Rising combats the commercial sexual exploitation of children in the United States by providing a ten-bed residential program for survivors with opportunities for safety, healing, and empowerment. Serving eight adolescent females and two small children to accommodate teenage mothers, Resilience Rising provides a long-term, trauma-informed program wherein youth develop the coping and life skills needed to break the inter-generational cycle of abuse and poverty that drives this child welfare, public health, and human rights problem.

Founded in 2004, George Mark Children's House (George Mark) is the first freestanding, independent pediatric palliative care facility in the United States. George Mark is providing cutting-edge, interdisciplinary medical and psychosocial services to children and young adults facing life-limiting illness and their families, in a warm, inclusive, home-like setting. The mission of George Mark Children's House is to provide the highest quality of care and to minimize suffering by addressing the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of the entire family. George Mark serves all medically eligible children regardless of geographical location. The majority of our patients are from California, with many residing in the San Francisco Bay Area

The Cooley's Anemia Foundation (CAF) was founded in 1954 by dedicated parents of afflicted children, many of whom remain involved as members of the Foundation's governing body. At CAF's inception, children with thalassemia were confined to hospital care and barely survived their first decade of life. CAF's legislative and research efforts helped pave the way for improved quality of life and longer life expectancy. CAF is dedicated to serving people afflicted with various forms of thalassemia, most notably the major form of this genetic blood disorder, Cooley's anemia/thalassemia major. Our mission is advancing the treatment and cure for this fatal blood disorder, enhancing the quality of life of patients and educating the medical profession, trait carriers, and the public about Cooley's anemia/thalassemia major.
