Open Door Group, formerly THEO BC, is a business-oriented, non-profit organization that provides British Columbians opportunities for personal growth by means of employment programs and leisure activities throughout the province. We provide services to over 3,000 persons with disabilities per year in over 25 locations across BC.

Mentoring is about the power of friendship. The volunteers and young people in our programs experience the magic of everyday moments when they are shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share a dream with, and just hang out... with friends it's the little things that mean the most.

The BC Lung Association provides patient, public and professional education programs, advocates for lung health issues and provides support for scientific research into lung health, lung disease and ways lung health can be improved. Primary targets are asthma, emphysema, lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis and pulmonary fibrosis. Keystone is a Child, Youth and Family Services agency that offers free counseling and prevention services throughout Grey and Bruce counties, an area the size of Prince Edward Island. We are a non-mandated agency that rarely has funding enhancements. Dollars donated go directly to service enhancements that would not otherwise be available. In the past, we have used donations to purchase program supplies, respite, clothing, food etc. It is difficult to benefit from counselling if the necessities are not covered. Many of our youth require additional supports so that they too can enjoy what we take for granted. Your contribution will make a difference for those children, youth and families that we serve. Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

Established in 1984, our volunteer-driven, not-for-profit agency provides meals services and social programs to residents living in the Town of Caledon and Orangeville area. Our services and programs include: hot and frozen meal delivery, social dining, social health and wellness programs, friendly visiting, telechats, and security checks. With the support of our nutritional program and social services clients can live independently in their homes and remain in their communities.

This is accomplished through support counselling, skill development and social/recreational programs.

The Halifax Association for Community Living (HACL) is a grass roots, family-based, charitable organization serving children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities as well as offering support to their families in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Providing information to persons with Celiac Disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis is the primary goal of the association and is the first purpose listed in the constitution. Other major goals are assisting in the education and awareness of the general public and health professionals regarding these two diseases, encouraging medical research, advising manufacturers and distributors about gluten-free foods and acting as advocate for persons with Celiac Disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis to other organizations and government departments.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a fatal inherited disorder, affecting mainly the lungs and the digestive system. In the lungs, where the effects of the disease are most devastating, CF causes severe respiratory problems. In the digestive tract, CF often results in extreme difficulty in digesting and absorbing adequate nutrients from food.
