Basic Health International

Basic Health International exists to eliminate cervical cancer on a global level through cutting edge research for the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer in low resource settings. Through research and field-work in Latin American countries, BHI is creating a scalable blueprint of sustainable strategies that can be applied in communities throughout the world to prevent, identify, and treat cervical cancer. Aligned with the World Health Organization’s mission to eliminate cervical cancer globally by 2030, BHI’s team of experts focuses on research, community education, outreach, and policy. During COVID-19 we are building laboratory infrastructure for SARS-CoV-2 testing which can later be used for the HPV testing critical to cervical cancer elimination.

Band of Parents is a 501 (c) (3) grassroots, nonprofit organization that funds innovative research and clinical trials for neuroblastoma, helping increase the survival rate for this childhood cancer. We are a support network for the newly diagnosed and their families as they go through treatment. Our goal as parents is to fast track a cure using less toxic, targeted therapies. In the past decade, Band of Parents has expanded its advocacy, funding research in several major cancer centers throughout the United States. Band of Parents has committed more than $10 million to neuroblastoma research.

The Beauty Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that empowers families who are actively fighting cancer through direct monetary grants. Our mission is to ease the stressful financial strains associated with cancer and to allow patients and their families to focus on the most important thing - their journey through cancer. Grants can be used at the recipient's discretion for anything they may need during their treatment including housecleaning, groceries, transportation costs, etc. The beauty foundation also supports the development of educational materials and provides support to local cancer centers. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England patients with cancer and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most.Because patients and families must often devote all of their energy and resources towards battling the disease, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage payments, utilities, and other household expenses. This relief allows the Foundation’s grant recipients to focus on their fight against cancer and not on the financial distress that comes with it.
