Our mission is to create a better future for the San Diego River through volunteerism, advocacy, education, and championing the creation of a river-long park system.We are a San Diego based 501c3 nonprofit that started as an all volunteer group and remain grounded in engaging people through volunteerism. Before the pandemic, we engaged more than 7000 volunteers. We believe in targeting our programs to make a meaningful impact for the river, its ecosystem and San Diego. Our mission is to work toward a day where nature and people live in synergy. A world where being outdoors in nature is accessible and valued. A place that works to conserve our vanishing species and values their intrinsic beauty. A place where we find wonder and awe in nature and integrate it our daily lives.

The mission of Friends of Radnor Lake is to protect, preserve, and promote the natural integrity of the Radnor Lake State Natural Area through land acquisition, environmental information, and park support.

BFEF's commitment is to help maintain sustainable fisheries in our local waterways & lakes, introducing kids to fishing, conservation of Bridgeport waterways, and supporting local & outdoor programs.

The Celebration of the Sea Foundation works to ENGAGE, EDUCATE and INSPIRE people around the world to protect the ocean and the world’s natural resources. The mission of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is to acquire, restore and preserve ALL of the mesa, lowlands, and wetlands of the Bolsa Chica, and to educate the public about this natural treasure. The Bolsa Chica Land Trust was formed in 1992 by a small group of Californians who believed that one of the last standing wetland ecosystems in Southern California was worth preserving for future generations.
