Captains for Clean Water is a grassroots nonprofit organization advocating for the elimination of harmful, large-scale Lake Okeechobee discharges into the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River Estuaries by restoring the natural flow of Lake Okeechobee water south into the Everglades and Florida Bay. Restoring the natural southern flow of Lake Okeechobee water is essential to the survival of our estuaries, the health of the Everglades, and the long-term viability of South Florida's largest drinking water source. The problem is known. The solution is known. The funding is available through Amendment 1. All that's missing is the political will to make it happen.

To promote the restoration, preservation, conservation and enjoyment of the Brandywine and Red Clay watersheds through education, scientific activities, environmental stewardship and advocacy.

The mission of the James River Association is to be the guardian of the James River. We provide a voice for the River and take action to promote conservation and responsible stewardship of its natural resources.

The Historic Virginia Land Conservancy, a 501(c)3 organization, is dedicated to protecting and preserving significant natural, scenic, agricultural and historic lands in the lower James, York and Rappahannock River watersheds.

PRKN’s mission is to protect the right to clean water for all communities and all those who live in and rely upon the Potomac and Shenandoah watersheds by stopping pollution, making drinking water safe, protecting healthy river habitats, and enhancing use and enjoyment for all.

Since 1982, the North Carolina Coastal Federation has worked to protect and restore the coastal water quality and habitats of the N.C. coast through education, advocacy, and habitat preservation and restoration. We engage coastal residents and visitors in the protection of our coast for current and future generations.

Our mission is to create a better future for the San Diego River through volunteerism, advocacy, education, and championing the creation of a river-long park system.We are a San Diego based 501c3 nonprofit that started as an all volunteer group and remain grounded in engaging people through volunteerism. Before the pandemic, we engaged more than 7000 volunteers. We believe in targeting our programs to make a meaningful impact for the river, its ecosystem and San Diego.
