PIDO's Background People's Initiative Development Organization (PIDO) was first founded under the name WUNDA "Western Upper Nile Development Action" in 2005 and legally registered in the year 2009. Due to nation-wide demand, the Organization expanded in its strategic objectives and geographical coverage in the Republic of South Sudan and beyond. 1.2 Mission Promote a culture of sound governance and expand socio-economic development. Thus PIDO is an agent for change, promotion of the culture for sound governance and soci-economic development. PIDO adopts community participatory approaches to mobilize and sensitize for gender equality for men and women in order to part take in peace building and mediating conflict resolution. 1.3 Vision Stable, thriving, equal, democratic and inclusive culture for all society in South Sudan. PIDO's vision of gender equality, as a core value, aims at the elimination of discrimination against women and girls. PIDO intends to empower women to achieve equal partnership and benefits of development, human rights protection and to see stable thriving, democratic and inclusive South Sudan. 1.4 GOAL The restoration of human livelihood in the devastated regions. 1.5 Objectives The strategic objectives of PIDO are to: Promote peaceful civic actions as a response to the threats of war and human rights abuses; Support dialogue, nation building, and peace dissemination as the best strategy for conflict resolution among the people; Enhance democracy and good governance at local, state and national levels to ensure legitimacy of Governors and accountability to the governed Advocate for the promotion of human rights, democratic rights of vulnerable and disadvantage group in the society; Transform the country into a knowledge -based middle-income country, thereby reducing poverty, and health problems and build a united democratic nation ; and Partner with NGOs, interest groups and individuals with the common aim of seeking solutions to South Sudan's developmental and governance challenges. We respect and nurture our staff by creating a safe, supportive work environment. 1.7 Motto Empowering Communities and Promoting Sustainable Development 1.8 Governance and Administrative Structures of PIDO In order to ensure that all the objectives and core values are met, PIDO has a robust organizational structure with clear chain of commands and decision-making organs as summarized below: 1.8.1 General Assembly The General Assembly has the broadest authority for the purpose of accomplishing the purpose and activities of the Organisation. The following decisions shall be exclusively taken by the General Assembly: Modifications to the Articles of Association; Appointment and exclusion of the Executive Director and, if applicable, the auditors; Approval of the Budget and the Annual Accounts; Discharge of the Executive director and, if applicable, the auditor; Voluntary dissolution of the Organisation; Exclusion of a Board Member; 1.8.2 Board of Director Under the Leadership of the Board Chair, the role of the Board is inter alia to lead the organization toward the desired performance and assure that it occurs. The Board's specific contributions are unique to its trusteeship role and necessary for proper governance and management.

Child protection 2. Protection of women and people living with disabilities 3. Emergency Respond for recovery and rehabilitation 4. Free legal aid for women and girl child on cases of gender-based violence (GBV) and free legal aid for disable persons 5. Civic education for enhancement of human rights and promotion of peace, gender equity, and right governance. Pillar two: livelihood and resilience Empowerment of people living with disabilities, women, and marginalized youth through: 1. Entrepreneurship development and business management skill 2. Agriculture Pillar three: education 1. Early childhood education 2. Secondary education (scholarship program for disabled young people and girls) 3. Tertiary education (scholarship program for disabled people and girls) 4. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) targeting school dropout youth 5. Development of school infrastructure Pillar four: health 1. Nutritional services to malnourished children, pregnant mothers, breast-feeding mothers, and people leaving with HIV/AIDS 2. Primary health care services 3. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services 4. Mental and Psychosocial Support 5. HIV/AIDS services 6. Reproductive Health and Adolescent Care services to teenage youth 7. Development of Health care infrastructure

With the peace initiatives currently being experienced in South Sudan, there is an influx of returnees who are in dire need for basic needs including-shelter, food, water and sanitation, social amenities like schools, health units, trauma healing and counseling services.

Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response

Food Security and Livelihoods For many families in South Sudan, putting food on the table is a constant struggle. At TITI FOUNDATION, we believe in turning that struggle into self-reliance. We work with communities to help them grow their own food, providing seeds, tools, and training to build stronger, more resilient food systems. Our goal is to empower families to feed themselves and create a future where hunger is not an everyday fear. We also ensure that everyone, especially women and youth, have a seat at the table when it comes to farming and livelihood decisions, making sure no one is left behind. 2. Education for All Education is the key to a brighter future, and we're passionate about making it accessible to every child, no matter where they come from. We focus on providing opportunities for children especially and girls, who have been denied an education because of conflict or poverty. But we don't stop there. We also invest in adult education and vocational training, helping parents and community leaders gain new skills that empower them to build better lives for themselves and their families. We want to break the cycle of poverty, one lesson at a time. 3. Climate Resilience and Sustainability In South Sudan, the environment is a force of both beauty and destruction. With the challenges of flooding, drought, and land degradation, we've seen firsthand how climate change can tear families apart. But we also know that communities have the strength to fight back. Our agroforestry projects are designed to help communities restore the land, plant trees that prevent flooding and erosion, and grow drought-resistant crops. By teaching sustainable farming practices, we ensure that people can not only survive climate challenges but thrive despite them. 4. Health and Nutrition Good health is something many of us take for granted, but for countless families in South Sudan, it's a daily struggle. We're working to change that by improving access to healthcare, promoting better nutrition, and tackling preventable diseases. We ensure that women and children who are often the most vulnerable have the support and resources they need to live healthier lives. Our focus is on prevention and education, helping people make informed choices that improve their health today and in the future. 5. Empowering Women and Advancing Gender Equity We know that when women thrive, entire communities thrive. That's why TITI FOUNDATION is committed to empowering women, especially in the most difficult of circumstances. From leadership training to economic empowerment programs, we are helping women take charge of their futures and lead change in their communities. Promoting Peace and Social Cohesion South Sudan has known its fair share of conflict, and we understand that lasting peace can only be built when communities work together.
