We work to make sure no child ever has to live alone on the streets. With projects in the UK, India and East Africa we race to reach these children before an abuser does. At street level our outreach workers find children and take them to one of our safe spaces. We provide food, shelter, safety, support and education while trying to reunite them with family or another long-term solution. At community level we change perceptions through campaigns, training and skills transfer to make street children visible and not to be ignored or stepped over. At government level we use our research and expertise to influence policy makers and leverage government support for children living on the streets.

Our Mission: To reach out to and rescue children and youth at risk*: to protect them; to restore them; to inspire them towards dignified life protected from abusive and dehumanizing situations, to advocate on their behalf to restore their rights and to be catalysts in the formation of a child friendly society. It is enough that they are young for us to reach out to them with love in the spirit of Don Bosco the father and founder of this vast network. * Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society defines youth at risk as: street children and youth; child laborers; child beggars; unaccompanied and lost children; children in conflict with the law; abused children; abandoned children; runaways; and children from dysfunctional family environments.

Founded in 1994, SEEDS had one ultimate goal: building the resilience of people exposed to disasters and climate change impacts. For the last 27 years, we have been enabling this through practical solutions for disaster readiness, response and rehabilitation. Our approach has involved grafting innovative technology on to traditional wisdom. Over this time, our dedicated team has partnered families affected by disasters and climate emergencies in a variety of ways. Disaster survivors have had schools, homes and community infrastructure restored and upgraded. Marginalised communities have gained access to clean water, sanitation and health facilities. Nature-based solutions have been designed to help adapt to climate change in ecologically-sensitive areas. We have also invested in skill building, partnerships and advocacy to build the long-term resilience of at-risk communities. SEEDS continues to advocate for and work with communities across Asia to build a safer and more sustainable world. SEEDS Vision Transforming the vulnerable into resilient and thriving communities SEEDS Mission Equipping the most vulnerable with appropriate tools and technologies, sharing knowledge and skills, and promoting linkages among stakeholders to prevent life loss and suffering.
