Better Basics, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency whose mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families by advancing literacy through enrichment and intervention programs.

The mission of the Big Shoulders Fund is to provide support to the Catholic schools in the neediest areas of inner-city Chicago. 100% of the funds raised by the Big Shoulders Fund are used to support children through scholarships, special education programs, instructional equipment, much needed school facility improvements, faculty support, and operating grants.  The Big Shoulders Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Breakthrough Collaborative is a network of 24 affiliates across the US. Breakthrough addresses education inequity by innovating at three critical points:1. We increase academic opportunity for highly motivated middle-school and high-school students, putting them on the path to college.2. We provide best-in-class pre-professional training for undergraduate teaching fellows.3. Center for Inspired Teaching is building a better school experience for children through innovative teacher training.

The Children's Scholarship Fund aims to maximize educational opportunity for all children: for those in need by offering tuition assistance in grades K-8 for alternatives to faltering conventional schools, and for all children by supporting and cultivating education reform and parental choice efforts.

Classroom, Inc.'s innovative curriculum engages students with the greatest needs and helps them develop academic skills essential for success in school and the workplace. With 70% of U.S. students reading below grade level, Classroom, Inc. (CI) focuses on young people in communities where resources are scarce and where students lag behind in basic academic skills. Through our curriculum, teacher training and follow-up site support, our goal is to ensure that, whatever obstacles they face, all young people have a chance to succeed in school and beyond.
