Over 20 million Canadians suffer from digestive disorders every year. We believes this is unnecessary and unacceptable. The CDHF reduces suffering and improvs quality of life by empowering Canadians with trusted, up to date, science-based information about digestive health and disease. We are the Foundation of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG). As such, we work directly with leading physicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals to help Canadians understand and take control of their digestive health with confidence and optimism. Through research and public education, we aim to: REDUCE the incidence and prevalence of digestive disorders; IMPROVE understanding of digestive health issues; SUPPORT those suffering from digestive disorders; and, ENHANCE quality of life for those living with digestive disorders.

Sandy Pines Wildlife Cntre, located in Napanee Ontario, is a licensed Wildlife rehabilitation centre covering an area from Toronto to Montreal and North to Ottawa. We take in all injured and orphaned animals and birds that are native to Ontario. Our facility is located on 60 acres of land with a hospital area and outdoor caging an flight aviaries. We hire staff in the summer but the centre is staffed by volunteers throughout the year. We are open 24/7 for emergencies and phone calls.

Pathways to Education Canada is a charitable organization that helps youth in low-income communities graduate from high school and successfully transition into post-secondary education or training. Pathways to Education addresses systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates. Founded in 2001, Pathways operates in 12 communities across Canada, with programs in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba.

First Book Canada works through existing community programs, with Canadian publishing partners and an ever-expanding network of volunteers, to provide a steady stream of high quality books to elevate educational programming and improve access to reading materials. Roots to Harvest is a not for profit and charitable organization based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. We are about food, about young people, about community, and about doing things in good ways. The first time a person learns where food comes from; the life changing experience of serving those in need; the heat of a greenhouse; the dirt under your fingernails; the feel of a handful of red wiggler compost worms; the first seedlings… This is Roots to Harvest. It's about learning, growing, inquiry & getting dirty. Young people connect with mentors & experts in the community to explore the food system from many different sides – production, distribution, access, culture, and sustainability.

The Friends of Algonquin Park was established in 1983 as a non profit registered charity. The Friends operate as a cooperating association under an agreement with the Ontario Parks to enhance the educational and interpretive programs in Algonquin Park. This is accomplished by developing and reprinting Park-related publications, and funding Park projects through the proceeds from sales at The Friends' two bookstores in the Park, private donations, and various fundraising efforts. The activities of The Friends of Algonquin are coordinated by a volunteer Board of Directors who reside in different parts of Ontario. Since its establishment, The Friends has grown to a membership of over 3000 people, and continues to attract support from around the world.

The Firehall Arts Centre is a place where audiences from diverse cultural and economic demographics are welcomed to participate and engage in the arts. Established in 1983, the Firehall Arts Centre strives to be a responsible public citizen and attempts to act in an ecological, environmental, and ethical manner. Through its artistic productions, presentations and artistic practice, the Firehall serves to open doors to the arts for new and established arts audiences thus connecting communities by encouraging a greater understanding and a celebration of the Canadian diaspora through the arts.

The Caring and Sharing Exchange provides much-needed assistance to Ottawa residents facing economic hardship during the back-to-school and Christmas seasons. The assistance is provided by means of food hampers, backpacks and gift-vouchers to Giant Tiger. ABC Head Start provides a proven program that helps preschool children develop the critical thinking, language, social/emotional and physical skills they need to be ready for school and achieve success in learning and life. Our early learning program integrates skills development with health nutrition and other community supports for children. We provide wrap around services for vulnerable families to help them support their child’s learning and development, promote a healthy family and address issues such as poverty, employment, settlement, English as a second language, mental health, isolation, family violence, and many more complex issues. ABC Head Start works with a wide range of community partners to meet the needs of children and families.
