Community-building activities Community meals, special events, organized outings and activities draw people out of isolation and rebuild personal support networks. Community student residence Near Montreal’s four major universities, it offers lodging in a community living and peace church context. There will also be opportunities for volunteering with Maison de l'amitié programs. Community space We offer low cost rental (or free) community space to our local community for meetings or events. Pastoral Refugee Support Network This program is develops a support network for communities of faith where many of the members struggle with having been suddenly uprooted and having experienced organized violence or torture. Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties, INC

MARL holds a variety of innovative set of educational activities public events, including an annual Human Rights Film Festival and public lectures. MARL works in schools helping develop teachers’ skills to help support curriculum and run the 'Leadership in Social Justice Program'. This unique approach inspires youth about social justice issues and empowers them to take action by building the skills to run programs focusing on issues in their communities. MARL works to change policies to uphold rights through legislative review by preparing briefs and studies at all levels of government. MARL also provides referral and legal information in response to inquiries from individuals. For young people interested in learning about their rights, MARL has developed the Under 18 Handbook, a Legal Guide for Manitoba Teens. This free handbook is available in hardcopy and on our website.

The Boys and Girls Club of London is fortunate to have The Boys and Girls Club of London Foundation. This organization not only provides extra support for all the various programs and services at the Boys and Girls Club, but it also creates special events and fundraising tools to meet larger fundraising goals. By meeting these larger goals the Foundation is able to help the Boys and Girls Club to continue to grow and provide the programs and services that are needed in the community.

Gateway Centre for Learning

Gateway Centre for Learning, formerly known as the Midland Area Reading Council, has been providing adult literacy and numeracy upgrading since 1982. Our trained volunteers are dedicated to helping adults in our community acquire reading, writing, numeracy and other life skills. In January 2012, Gateway launched child and youth tutoring programs in response to a need in the community and to end the cycle of adults needing our services.

MILTON COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTRE

Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) is a not-for-profit, multi-service organization that provides services to children and families of Milton and the surrounding communities. Through our Ontario Early Years Centre and our Family Resource programs we provide early learning programs for children, their parents and caregivers at minimal or no cost to participants. MCRC's parent resource library offers a variety of resources and workshops including access to our parent educators. Through our Licensed Child Care programs, MCRC provides quality early learning and care at an affordable cost and subsidy is available for eligible families. Collaboratively with Halton Region Children Services, MCRC operates The Halton Resource Connection, which provides training, support and resources to parents, caregivers, individuals and organizations working with children and youth.
