Heifer International's mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities. Since 1944, Heifer has helped transform more than 52 million households by working in partnership with the communities we serve. Our programs support entrepreneurs around the world, creating lasting change from the ground up. It begins with a seed investment of livestock or agriculture, followed by mentorship to help project participants build a business, and ultimately to gain access to supply chains and markets. These families are able to earn a living income and continuously lift up their communities as they train the next generation of leaders. By supporting and training the world's farmers, ranchers, and female business owners, we're investing in a new breed of success. Care to Help's current focus is securing healthy drinking water for the minority hill tribe people of Central Vietnam. Many people in the rural Central Highlands do not have a safe source for clean drinking water. Securing a safe source of water is the essential foundation of a healthy existence.

The BackStoppers provides needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs in our coverage area who have lost their lives or suffered a catastrophic injury performing their duty.
