Serving Burke and Fairfax County since 1948. Based in Burke, Virginia, their organization provides fire and emergency medical services (equipment, station, and personnel) to the local community and all citizens of Fairfax County.

The fire department started with 19 members in 1963 and they have been on the increase ever since. A Ladies Auxiliary and many other support personnel are all volunteers. They have come a long way from 1963. They are proud of not only their personnel accomplishments but of their equipment and the services they have rendered to the community and mutual aid to other companies and counties. In 1970 an addition was built on the fire station to house the two ambulances and to make room for their fire equipment. A hose tower was also built for the station.

To provide ambulance, fire, and advanced life support service to the town of Mount Jackson and adjacent Shenandoah County areas.

Founded in 1958, Blackwater Volunteer Rescue Squad is one of 10 volunteer rescue squads providing lifesaving emergency care at no cost to citizens of Virginia Beach, VA.

The Archbald Community Ambulance and Rescue Squad is an all volunteer service providing EMS and Rescue services to Archbald Borough and surrounding towns

The Rescue Hose and Ladder Company Fire Department is a small, fully volunteer company. The fire department handles approximately 300 calls year.

They will provide care and comfort to those in need, and in their training improve their skills to reduce the loss of life and property. To search for the missing, treat the injured, rescue those in peril, and provide training and education, in support of — and in collaboration with — public safety agencies and other outdoor interest groups in the Mid-Atlantic wilderness.

They are here to assist any local, state, or federal agency in the search for lost or missing persons. This includes missing children, elderly walk-a-ways, suicidal persons and many other types of searches.

Great Lakes Search and; Rescue K-9, Inc. is a non- profit, volunteer organization providing specially trained dogs to assist law enforcement agencies in locating missing persons, drown victims, evidence recovery, and natural disasters.
