Our Association raises 100% of its necessary funding through events and donations and all revenue stays specifically in Orillia to support the existing local Big Brother Big Sister programs. Today, we support over 150 families annually in a variety of mentoring programs which include Big & Little matches, couple matches, group matches, cross-gender matches, In-School Mentoring, teen mentoring and ‘Go Girls’. We also offer regular group activities for our entire membership which facilitate the physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of everyone in our program. These programs are sustained through the efforts of minimal staff and approximately 100 volunteers.

OCCL has served and supported the adult literacy community since 1984. We are a non-profit, charitable organization and we: •help service providers to build capacity to address emerging needs •promote best practices in service delivery •coordinate service planning and project management •offer information and referral, outreach and networking •provide professional development for literacy instructors and administrators OCCL is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, memberships, donations and fundraising. The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring ongoing operations. The Local Planning and Coordination Committee (made up of representatives from the literacy service providers in Ottawa) is responsible for literacy service planning.

Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO)is a community based non-profit organization providing services in Ottawa since 1978. We have four locations in Ottawa (central, east, and south). Our multi-faceted programs and services are delivered in over 42 languages to clients from 120 countries by OCISO’s team of knowledgeable, skilled and professional staff. Our work is augmented by the generous efforts of our enthusiastic, caring and talented volunteers, both established and new Canadians. OCISO’s programs and services include: Community Integration Program, Job Search Workshops, Immigrant Women's Program, Settlement to Employment Program, Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, Counselling for individuals, families, couples and post-traumatic stress, Multicultural Liaison officers in 43 schools in 3 Ottawa school boards, ESL Summer Program, Cross Cultural Education, Public Education, Community Development, Volunteer Program.

Christian Counselling Ottawa provides individual, couple, and family counselling services, as well as educational presentations on counselling-related topics throughout the national capital region. Our team of professionally accredited therapists incorporates faith into the counselling process as appropriate and in response to client's stated desire. We offer services in 6 locations: 303-63 Glencoe St, Ottawa South, Gloucester, Kanata, Barrhaven and Williamsburg. Evening and Saturday appointments are available. Our team of therapists offers service in English and French. The Subsidy Fund supported by individual and church donations supports individuals who could not otherwise afford access to counselling.

Foundedin 1950, OCAPDD's purpose is to support community integration and personal well-being for children and adults with developmental disabilities within the City of Ottawa. OCAPDD provides a variety of programs and services to the community, including: Residential Services, Day Programs, Business Ventures, Supportive Services, Supported Work and Assessment. Our Vision:Individuals with a defelopmental disability live healthy, safe and secure lives as participating members of society, through equitable access to the broadest range of societal supports and opportunities.

ASBC was started in 1975 and is a parent based and directed society providing support to individuals with autism and their families in British Columbia and Yukon. ASBC Provides Support Through: Information, Referral and self-help Advocacy for Adults, Parents and Professionals; an extensive lending resource library, Internet access to valuable free on-demand information and discussion forums; a network of Community Groups throughout BC, facilitated by volunteers; seminars & conference opportunities for members; promoting community education and awareness. As well, ASBC Assists Families Financially Through: a limited reimbursement program for your child's summer activities; participation in FREE activities for families, eg: sports games, PNE outtings, movie outtings, opera, symphony for children, live theatre, rock concerts and Christmas activities. PLEA Community Services Society of BC provides support and services to children, youth, adults and families who face significant challenges in their lives. We develop and deliver programs based on the abiding belief that people's lives improve when provided with the individual attention and opportunities necessary to support their growth. Our services include: - The KidStart Mentoring Program, - Addiction Treatments, - Residential Care, - School + Work, - Youth Justice Programs - Youth Outreach

The Parkland Crisis Centre & Women's Shelter operates a shelter facility for women and their children that are fleeing abuse from an intimate partner. Support groups and walk in counselling is available and all services are free, voluntary and confidential. A 24 hour per day Crisis Line is available for those in need to call to receive counselling services or referrals to other agencies. A Children's Program is available for children to receive counselling and support services either individually, in groups, or with their parent.

The Parliamentary Centre is a Canadian not-for-profit, non-partisan organization that supports parliaments around the world. Our assessment, strategic planning and training programs, combined with research products and networking channels, help legislatures measure their performance, build capacity, tackle key issues and promote mutual learning. In short – we help legislatures better serve their people. We believe that all citizens have a right to participate meaningfully through democracy, and that effective parliaments are crucial to governance and sustainable development. We’re committed to continuous learning and providing support that respects the historical, cultural and political uniqueness of countries while fostering greater transparency and accountability in government.

Participation House opened in June 1978 to provide community living accommodation for persons with physical disabilities. In 1985, we became involved in the community through the establishment of Supportive Living Apartments (West Street Apartments) with 11 of the residents from Participation House moving into their own private apartment. 32 years later, we support 26 people at Participation House and 17 at the West Street Apartments. Our energy is geared to helping these individuals realize their full potential and to help them play a more integral role in the community to which the live. Participation House is a non-profit organization receiving its funding assistance through the LHIN (Local Health Integrated Network). It is important, however, that the organization look for constant opportunities to help with its financial responsibilities as well as its commitment to persons with physical disabilities in Brant County.

BRAIN INJURY SERVICES Traverse Independence offers a range of customized programs and services to our clients ranging from housing, attendant care, specialized, therapeutic and supportive care, outreach services, and day programs. Each of our programs focuses on maximizing our clients' abilities to live independently. We began developing our specialized brain injury services over 10 years ago. Today, we serve over 200 clients with brain injuries. Traverse Independence is a not-for-profit registered charity and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We provide services in Waterloo Region and Wellington County.
