Founded in 1983 by volunteers in BC, we're a federation of 7 regional chapters and a national office whose sole purpose is to grant these special wishes! Since 1983, we have granted over 3,929 magical wishes to children across Canada, and are part of the largest wish granting organization in the world, with affiliates in 35 countries. Worldwide, we've granted more than 280,000 wishes to date. Our organization does not receive any government funding, and grants wishes purely through community donations. With an increase in wish requests every year - in 2009, we granted 437 wishes to children in communities across Canada, our staff and volunteers are dedicated to creating a world of magic and bringing smiles to the faces of children who, due to their illness, may be missing out on some of the joys of childhood other kids take for granted.

TAP is dedicated to the permanent eradication of drought in the Sahel region of sub-Saharan Africa via the construction of a continuous 8,000km fresh-water pipeline across the entire African continent.

Canadian Women's Foundation is the only national public foundation dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. The Foundation raises funds to support programs that focus on three areas fundamental to the wellbeing of women and girls: ending violence, establishing economically independent women, and building resilient girls.

Our programs help women transition towards self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community. Programs include: the Suiting Program which outfits women in professional attire for job interviews and employment; the Dress Rehearsal program where clients go through a mock interview and feedback session and can get assistance with resume/cover letter writing; and the Professional Women’s Group (PWG) which offers women ongoing support as they successfully transition into the workforce.

Founded in 1987, Pacific Salmon Foundation is an independent, politically neutral organization dedicated to rebuilding healthy sustainable and naturally divers Pacific salmon stocks. We believe that action is more important than words; that collaboration and partnerships are more effective than finger pointing and blame.

Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Focusing on four program areas – oceans and sustainable fishing, climate change and clean energy, sustainability, and the Nature Challenge - the Foundation uses science and education to promote solutions that conserve nature and help achieve sustainability within a generation.

Access County Community Support Services is committed to strengthening children, youth and families.

The Launching Pad commenced operation in June of 1994 at a 12-bed facility in Aldergrove, B.C. The founding fathers were Dave Houston who purchased the house and Ed Warnke who managed the facility and continues to do so today as Executive Director. In 2001, we moved to our present facility in White Rock, where we provide room and board for 28 residents and help alcoholics and addicts learn how to lead clean and sober lives. The White Rock house was already zoned for a care facility and had been operating as a seniors’ home for some years prior to our arrival. The property, about a half acre, has proved to be ideal for our purposes and is well situated in South Surrey on the White Rock border. In 18 years of operation, the Launching Pad has seen several hundred men recover from addiction, and provided room & board for about 2000 men for varying lengths of time. We became a non-profit society in February of 2002, and have registered charity status.

Join the Dance is the Ontario representative for Pierre Dulaine's internationally acclaimed Dancing Classrooms of Mad Hot Ballroom and Take the Lead Fame. A 10 weeks Inter-curricular, Character Education program for children and youth that utilizes ballroom dancing as a vehicle to change the lives of not only the participants, but also the lives of the teachers and families who support them. Academic components of History, Geography, Literacy, Public Speaking and Social Studies are woven intricately into the joy of the dance that provides 50-minutes of good physical fitness and mental health stimulation. Culminating events allow diverse school communities to Join the Dance and Dancing Classrooms are fully endorsed by the Toronto Public and Catholic Boards. $100 will provide 1 student in a classroom with twenty 50-minute sessions for ten weeks. $2,000 sponsorship/donation provides the program to one entire classroom.

Bear mortality related to human conflicts is perhaps the largest single factor affecting long-term population viability. As human populations continue to extend into bear habitat throughout North America, either through residential development, recreational use or industrial use, bear human conflicts increase. Our organization aims to reduce human caused bear mortality and incidents of human-bear conflict. This is achieved through specialized training courses and innovative applied research. We are involved in a variety of initiatives that focus on reducing people’s interactions with bears while living, working and recreating in bear country. These include our unique Bearproof Garbage Bin Loaner Program, Bear Hazard Assessments, and Natural Attractant Management. Please see www.bearconflict.org for more information.
