TO PRODUCE RIGOROUS JOURNALISM THAT EXPLAINS COMPLEX ISSUES, HOLDS THE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE, AND ENGAGES KANSANS AND MISSOURIANS IN CIVIC ISSUES. THEY PARTNER WITH OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS TO SHARE OUR WORK, AS WELL AS DISTRIBUTE NEWS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE, EMAIL NEWSLETTERS, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND TEXT MESSAGING.

The Washington Ornithological Society was chartered in 1988 to increase knowledge of the birds of Washington State and to enhance communication among all persons interested in those birds.
