The Rochester Cello Society was formed in 2017 by cellist, Sandra Halleran. The society was created to inspire a greater connection between all cellists, young and old, student and professional. The society plans cello events throughout the Rochester area, both for players and listeners, alike. The Rochester Cello Society is an all-inclusive group of cellists in the Rochester, NY area. Cellists (students and professionals) and lovers of cello music are all invited to join. Events like cello ensemble reading, concerts and recitals, and masterclasses will be periodically planned throughout the year. This is all in the spirit of bringing cellists together and creating positivity in the community.
