The Memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th Century, the Memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people to the common defense of the nation and to the broader causes of peace and freedom from tyranny throughout the world. It will inspire future generations of Americans, deepening their appreciation of what the World War II generation accomplished in securing freedom and democracy. Above all, the Memorial stands as an important symbol of American national unity, a timeless reminder of the moral strength and awesome power that can flow when a free people are at once united and bonded together in a common and just cause.

The Swedish American Museum is committed to preserving Swedish heritage, educating all generations and ethnic groups in Swedish language, culture,and traditions and celebrating Sweden's past, present, and future. Additionally, the Museum serves as a unifying force for all Scandinavian groups in the greater Chicago, Illinois area.

JNPA provides quality educational products and related services that enrich public understanding and appreciation of America's national parks, public lands and historic places. As a non-profit organization, JNPA's purpose is to ensure that visitors to our public lands will enjoy, experience, and engage with the places they treasure.

To realize its’ critically important and intentionally bold vision, KHAFRE inc. will build monuments and memorials, offer programs and workshops around education, health, and history, provide resources to the formal and informal educators in the delta, engage in community outreach and connection, and operate as a repository and distributor of information on the history, beauty, and talent of and within the Mississippi delta, all for the overarching purpose of improving the quality of life of her sons and daughters.

In 1993 a group of Danevang, Texas residents and former residents formed the Danish Heritage Preservation Society with the purpose of preserving the heritage of the Danish immigrants who settled the community of Danevang beginning in 1894.

The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art’s mission is to present the art, culture and history of Tibet to a world audience in order to educate and inspire appreciation of Himalayan cultures and to foster better global understanding. The founder, Jacques Marchais (1887-1948) intended the Jacques Marchais museum of Tibetan art museum, begun in 1945, to serve as a bridge between Tibetan art and culture and the west. The Jacques Marchais museum of Tibetan art preserves its unique collection of rare and sacred artifacts and provide careful stewardship of its historic buildings and gardens. In addition to presenting the Jacques Marchais history, it is the intention of the museum to give visitors an understanding of tibet and the himalayan region.
