The Alliance Française is the largest cultural network in the world with more than 1,100 centers and 500,000 students every year. In Canada, our network numbers 9 Alliance Française (Vancouver, Victoria, Ottawa, Toronto, Moncton, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax), more than 160 expert teachers and 10,000 students per year. In Vancouver, the Alliance Française of Vancouver has been actively promoting interest in the French language and culture since 1904. We are a non-profit cultural and educational association. It is our mission to foster the appreciation of French and francophone cultures through cultural events and to offer French language courses to all.

In operation for over sixty years in Calgary, Alliance Française offers of Calgary a variety of French educational, training and cultural programs for Francophones, those who wish to learn French or Francophiles who have a love for all things France. AFC owns Calgary's most comprehensive French language library, with a growing range of offerings including books, music and film/video. Children's programs are available as well. Alliance Française of Calgary is associated with the international Alliance Française organization based in France.

We are often people's first step towards re-engaging with community, employment and training. We offer one-on-one teaching building on each individual's strengths, supporting them to develop the skills needed for the next step in their journey towards a better life for themselves, and often for their families.

Founded in 1982, ASLM offers a wide range of programs and services designed for individuals with dementia, their family and caregivers, health professionals, and the general public. At ASLM, both the individual and the family are provided with support upon diagnosis and throughout the disease process.

Rated as the #1 Attraction in Nova Scotia for 2011 on Tripadvisor, the world class Historic Gardens is a 17 acre horticultural paradise located in historic Annapolis Royal, the first permanent European settlement in North America (1605). Historically themed areas tell the story of Nova Scotia settlement from an agricultural and horticultural perspective, showcasing gardening methods, designs and materials representing more than four hundred years of local history. These core gardens are linked by paths through many other display areas featuring plant collections, garden art, water features and natural areas. Connecting pathways look westward over dykelands, evocative of a way of life centuries ago. One of the most magnificent of the collections, by any standards, is the Rose Collection which has more than 270 cultivars. With thousands of colourful and fragrant blossoms, it is the largest rose collection in the Maritime region.

Science World is unique in providing children and families with access to cutting edge, curriculum-linked galleries, films and hands-on educational programs at TELUS World of Science in Vancouver. Our facility also houses the OMNIMAX® Theatre, which features one of the largest dome screens in the world. Science World endeavours to touch the lives of more British Columbian families and students each year, and has connected with nearly eight million visitors since opening in 1989.

Barrie Public Library has been providing library services to the City of Barrie for over 150 years. As a vital service provider in the community of Barrie, the public library is a catalyst for imagination, a conduit to information and the cornerstone of the community. With the arrival of the digital age and the natural evolution of our wonderful city, the role of the Barrie Public Library has continued to evolve. We support the joy of reading and discovery, which contribute to the economic and cultural life of the city. The Library enables greater opportunities at work and school for our residents, provides vital public space and ensures all Barrie residents have access to books in all their forms, for all their needs.
