NOTE: For gifts over $1000 please contact us directly at www.aqueductfoundation.ca Aqueduct Foundation is guided by three core principles: 1. Facilitating personal philanthropy. Personal philanthropy is grounded in the vision, values and deeply-held beliefs of individual donors. Aqueduct is cause neutral and operates personal foundations, or donor advised funds. Your foundation supports the charities you identify. 2. Smart planning. Aqueduct specializes in exceptional gifts – those rare gifts from assets that require financial and estate planning. We have unrivalled experience with customized, tax-wise plans, and gifts of complex assets. These are not everyday donations. 3. Philanthropic flexibility. Aqueduct is a bridge to other charities. At Aqueduct, you decide what cause or charity to support, how much they will receive, and when the grant is made. We provide flexibility in giving and structuring legacies backed by a deep knowledge of charities.

La Soleillerie is a non-profit organization that has been active in the community since 1968. Its educational program is based on play, a method, which allows children to develop their creativity and encourages them to express themselves. Through these experiences, children learn perseverance and the joys of working together with others; they discover a sense of pride in succeeding, which enhances self-esteem. Each of the many play areas provides children with the opportunity to explore, question, share, solve, try, try again, fail and succeed... La Soleillerie offers children a wonderful opportunity to develop and grow in a creative environment where parents play an active role. Supporting La Soleillerie is not only a gift to the school, but to children as well, both current and future.
The Testaments of Honour Project’s mandate is to record, on digital video, the personal histories of Canadian veterans — for our children, for students, for our families, and for the veterans themselves. This way, we ensure that the thread of experience is nurtured and kept alive — through the veterans telling their own stories in their own words. These hundreds of interviews on digital video will ensure that the remarkable individuals who forged the history in those formative years will always be able to say to us, in their own words, “This Happened to Me.”

Founded in 1989, Scientists in School is a leading science education charity that delivers in-class, hands-on science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and environmental workshops to Kindergarten to Grade 8 children. Our workshops enrich STEM curriculum through real-world, investigative activities, specialized materials and equipment, and highly-trained local presenters who are scientific role models. Donations to Scientists in School help us to do things such as subsidize workshop costs for schools, offer complimentary workshops to school and community groups servicing low-income neighborhoods, fill presenter kits for our workshops with specialized materials and equipment, train presenters, develop new workshops, revise existing workshops and expand our program into new regions and communities.
To seek out, explore and execute, to the best of our ability, the fullest potential in each and every child. To achieve this objective, we provide for the day-to day needs, education and extra-curricular activities in order to fulfil or exceed the expectations of life. Our children will be representatives of the societies from which they come and, hopefully, one day will impart their knowledge upon those societies. It is our intent to educate children between the ages of 6 and 18 years and to provide them with the fundamentals required to pursue a professional career.

Located in Blackhead Village, near Cape Spear, is this beautifully restored one room school and church, originally constructed in 1879. Our friendly guide will show you the school bell that the teacher would ring to summon the children to class and the wooden desks. A wealth of history is stored in the genealogy exhibit which also includes a self guided walking tour. Relax on the bench in the yard. In the spring, a scattered iceberg can be seen in the Bay.
