The Comox Valley Community Arts Council works to facilitate, activate and advocate on behalf of arts and culture in our community. Through our involvement in a wide variety of activities, we pro-actively support the cultural creators and workers of the Comox Valley. CVCAC is a registered charitable non-profit organization that receives public & private funding to sustain and grow its programs, and for general operating costs. Additionally, we raise revenue through memberships, fundraising events and art sales. We co-ordinate and co-sponsor art shows and workshops, literary projects, public art, performing arts events and children’s programs including the Youth Mural Mentorship Project. We also take every opportunity to promote our member groups. Going forward we are working to enlivening the cultural fabric of the entire Comox Valley with new programs & projects, professional development for artists, public arts connections and more!

Conrad Grebel University College is comprised of a residence and an academic program on the campus of the University of Waterloo. Grebel houses 174 students and is home to 50 off campus associate students who meet at Grebel for Chapel and a variety of activities. Grebel is home to the Music and Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) departments. The college also runs a graduate program in theological studies through its Masters of Theological Studies degree and administering the Toronto Mennonite Theological Centre (TMTC)

CCNB has been at the forefront of environmental action in New Brunswick since 1969. We are a membership-based organization with charitable status in Canada. Our members are citizens who care about the future of our planet - citizens who want to support environmental protection in the Maritimes. We work on two fronts: 1. We act as citizen watchdogs for the public good, safeguarding our land, air and water. 2. Through research and education we develop and promote solutions to pollution and resource destruction.

Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers is Canada's oldest and one of its most respected modern dance companies. Formed in 1964 by Rachel Browne, WCD grew by the mid-70's to encompass the School of Contemporary Dancers, an apprentice program, a subscription series and touring on a national and international level. Tedd Robinson established the first Canadian Modern Dance Festival in the 1980's. After falling on hard times in 1990, the company has rebounded now to a state of financial stability, a core of 5 dancers and national touring once again on the menu. In two years, WCD will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary!

Continuum has performed across Canada and has toured twice to Europe; in 2012 Continuum served as resident ensemble for the new music series at Ottawa Chamberfest. The group has recorded two CDs on its own label, formed the recording ensemble for a Centrediscs release of works by Chris Paul Harman and recently released Raw, a CD of works by James Rolfe, also for Centrediscs. Interdisciplinary projects include SHE! with choreographer Conrad Alexandrowicz; Distillation with Montreal video installation artist Ramona Ramlochand; and Souvenir, with filmmaker Gary Popovich. Special projects have included l'Oreille Fine, featuring concerts and a symposium of philosophers, poets, critics and a psychologist dealing with the subject of contemporary expression in a classical art form; and SHIFT, a festival of Canadian and Dutch music, film and literature that took place at in Amsterdam, in Toronto, and across Canada with a tour of the acclaimed Ives Ensemble of Amsterdam.

Place des Arts is a non-profit arts centre and music school located in the historic Maillardville area of Coquitlam. Over 64,000 people each year attend classes, concerts, community events and exhibitions at the centre. Since 1989, Place des Arts has provided financial assistance to hundreds of students through our Scholarship and Bursary Awards Program. The awards help offset the costs involved in arts study and reward students for their dedication and achievement. The Place des Arts Endowment Fund was established in 2007 to provide a stable source of funding for the Scholarship and Bursary Awards program. Interest generated from the fund will fund the scholarship and bursary awards, ensuring that future students benefit from an arts education. The Parish of Saint John has played an important part in the community of Saint John since 1783; people have been gathered for public worship, knit together in friendship, and sent out to serve God and neighbour with a sense of purpose and calling. Our Parish Nursing and Outreach programs help continue this tradition of friendship and calling in the 21st century. On one side of the Church is the uptown business district; on the other a neighbourhood where many live in poverty, with many related challenges. Desire ‘to worship the Father in spirit and in truth’ draws us to the altar in worship and sends us out into the world. The role of Trinity’s Parish Nursing and Outreach programs is to build bridges: between altar and world, congregation and neighbourhood, men and women - all made in the image of God and loved deeply and everlastingly by God. Trinity members are involved in a wide variety of activities and initiatives that bring people together to eat, talk, sing, play and pray.

The “Musée de la mémoire vivante” is a modern institution with a participating concept. Permanent and temporary exhibitions are displayed. They are set up with the visitors’ contributions through testimonies and artifacts rather than being conceived and perceived as an end in itself. The exhibitions are meant to incite exchanges, discussions and testimonies, always with the purpose of putting the people and their experiences in the spotlight. At the museum, two studios are available to whoever desires to record his testimony or life experience. Those testimonies are kept for the same reason than objects are in a conventional museum. The different themes approached are in this way not forgotten, Those life experiences are available to anyone who desires to listen to them for learning, social reasons or leasure. It is a true democratization of life stories and experiences.

The Manitoba Craft Council is for people who love contemporary craft: artists and artisans, collectors and connoisseurs, DIYers and armchair enthusiasts. See, smell, touch, explore the myriad expressions of contemporary craft in Manitoba and be part of a community that is shaped, motivated, and defined by its love of craft.

Strathcona County Library serves over 76,000 residents from its facility located in Sherwood Park and from its Bookmobile that visits 12 rural communities on a weekly basis. Strathcona County is a vibrant community located just east of Edmonton, Alberta.
