Established in 1959, Canada’s National Ballet School is one of the world’s foremost training institutions for aspiring young dancers and teachers. Attracting students from across the country and around the world, NBS is the only ballet academy in North America to provide elite dance training, academic instruction and residential care on the same campus. The School’s progressive curriculum, with its emphasis on the physical and emotional well-being of the student, has put NBS at the forefront of dance training internationally. Every effort is made to ensure no student is denied access to the School because of financial circumstances. The company’s new home, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, was designed by Diamond and Schmitt Architects Inc. and is Canada’s first purpose-built opera house. Acclaimed as one of the best opera houses in the world, the Four Seasons Centre is also the performance venue for The National Ballet of Canada.

Hospice of Waterloo Region serves all ages and assists clients with any terminal illness. The compassionate and practical support offered by our staff and volunteers extends to all family members. Each client/volunteer relationship is unique and is determined by the particular needs of the individual. Volunteers provide respite care and enrich people’s lives by sharing their gifts of listening, caring, friendship, love, humour, and support. Hospice of Waterloo Region hosts programs and provides services at no charge to individuals and families. No one need die alone. We offer companionship to live in dignity and comfort.

Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

Museum London preserves, interprets and shares the story of London and Londoners through the exhibition of art and artifacts and the presentation of cultural programs. Museum London has a rich tradition of being at the heart of the cultural community, connecting artists with audiences, the community with its heritage, and the past with the present and future. With an impressive permanent collection of more than 5,000 artworks and more than 25,000 historical artifacts, Museum London presents changing art and historical exhibitions complemented by tours, lectures, films, music and live performances. Museum London also offers studio programs for children and adults, as well as day camps and weekend art-making activities for families.

The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton is launching a fundraising campaign to better serve the city's growing number of sexual assault survivors. We currently provide individual and group counselling services to child and adult survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault at no cost to clients. We also do community outreach and education, staff a 24 hour crisis line and provide specialized treatment services for new Canadians who have experienced war rape in their country of origin. The online campaign asks for donations in exchange for sending a “candle of hope” to a friend. We appreciate your support. Light a candle in the darkness. Dare to be aware.

GGC is the leadership organization for girls and women in Canada, with over 90,000 members from coast to coast to coast. Guiding is bold, fun, energetic and empowers girls and women to face challenges with confidence. Guides welcomes girls and women to be part of the following groups: Sparks (5 and 6), Brownies (7 and 8), Guides (9 to 11), Pathfinders (12 to 14), Rangers (15 to 17+), and Adults - as leaders, mentors, team members and more. For girls, Guiding is an accepting environment with diverse and exciting programs and activities that offer the opportunity to discover new interests, valuable leadership skills and make lasting friendships. Guiding gives girls the tools and resources they need to acheive greatness. For women, Guiding is a chance to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women. The Actors' Fund of Canada is a registered charity that provides short-term financial aid to entertainment industry professionals working in theatre, film & TV, music and dance. Performers, creators, technical staff and other production team members can apply for help from the Fund which delivered over $460,000 in rent payments, grocery money, utility payments and other basic living expenses to clients in the last 12 months and over $4.5 million in the last 10 years. The Actors' Fund receives no government funding and is wholly sustained by support from individuals and entertainment industry organizations.
