Deaf and Hear Alberta is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the accessibility, advocacy, education and communication needs of the Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing populations of Alberta. Our head office is in Calgary, Alberta, with a branch office in Edmonton. Our expertise lies in communication access -- through interpreting, assistive equipment, training and education for hearing loss prevention and management, and strengthening public awareness and understanding.

Our mission is to bring the best musicians and teachers of the Lower Mainland to Delta. Our school serves the needs of Ladner, Tsawwassen, North Delta, and other communities in the Lower Mainland. We offer private music lessons in clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, choir, band, jazz ensemble, Music Theory and History. We also administer outreach programs including the Thrive City String Boot Camp and the South Delta Jazz Festival and Workshop.

Durham Art Gallery

The Gallery is located in the rural town of Durham, Ontario, equidistant from Kitchener/Waterloo, Kincardine, Owen Sound, Collingwood, and Orangeville. Approximately every two months, new exhibitions are installed in the Gallery's three spaces. These exhibitions showcase the work of contemporary artists from the southwestern Ontario region as well as from elsewhere in Canada and overseas. In addition, the Gallery presents arts and literary festivals, artists-in-residence programs, and outreach initiatives.

Montreal Oral School for the Deaf

Founded in 1950 as an alternative to sign language education, the Montreal Oral School for the Deaf is the first and only school of its kind in Montreal and is one of only three in all of Canada. With the use of technology - hearing aids and cochlear implants - the school provides habilitation, education and support for children with hearing loss from infancy to early adulthood. The school's multidisciplinary approach ensures students and their families receive free of charge linguistic, cognitive, social and emotional support in specialized school settings, in neighborhood schools and at home.

EMMANUEL BIBLE COLLEGE

Since 1940, Emmanuel Bible College has provided undergraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates at the post-secondary level. Emmanuel is located in the city of Kitchener, Ontario. Each year nearly 300 people, from over 27 Christian denominations take courses and participate in seminars and training on our campus. Over 2000+ Alumni serve in every area of the workforce, all over the world. Emmanuel Bible College holds accredited status at the undergraduate level with the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). ABHE is recognized by the (American) Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Emmanuel is also chartered by the Province of Ontario in the 1981 Emmanuel Bible College Act, which entitles EBC to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.), and Bachelor of Religious Education (B.R.E.). Emmanuel is a full member of the Canadian Council for Christian Charities (CCCC).

FAMILY DAY CARE SERVICES

Family Day cares for over 4,000 children across the Greater Toronto Area in both centre- and home-based child care programs. We also offer various community services, including o Integration Services, providing consultation and support services for children with developmental delays; o Community Resource Programs for families, caregivers and children, providing playtime, toy-lending, education and support programs; o Training Programs for caregivers and families on a broad spectrum of child and family issues; o The Innovation Centre, developed by the Board of Directors, dedicated to improving the quality of child care through funding and support for research projects and professional consultation with other organizations. We are the lead agency for five Ontario Early Years Centres (Don Valley East, Markham, Mississauga Centre, Scarborough Centre and Thornhill).
