Animal Ark

Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary, a non-profit 501(c)(3), since 1986 is located twenty-eight miles north of Reno and is a safe haven for injured, abandoned and otherwise non-releasable wild animals who act as ambassadors for their species. Animal Ark offers a recreational educational experience for people of all ages. It conducts outreach programs in the local schools and wildlife/environmental tours for children and adults alike at its 38 acre facility. Interpretive signs and Docents give visitors the opportunity to learn about the world around them. Our Staff consists of educators, biologists, veterinary students, and college students in addition to retired individuals. All share a love of wildlife and sharing what they know!

Blue Ridge Wildlife Center

Blue Ridge Wildlife Center (BRWC) embraces the compelling mission of caring for native wildlife by integrating veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, education, and research. We are a full-service wildlife teaching hospital and rehabilitation facility that cares for native wildlife by treating animals in need and by educating citizens on how to protect animals and their habitat in perpetuity. With these two goals, we aim for greater native biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for the benefit of all living things.

Sweet Binks Rescue

Sweet Binks is a long time animal rescue organization which is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. We assist with the care, treatment, rehabilitation and release for orphaned and injured wildlife. We hope to bring the same kind of awareness to our wildlife neighbors that we brought to domestic rabbits through our facility, public outreach and education. We currently focus on the rehabilitation and release of small mammals, skunks, fawns, migratory songbirds, game birds and waterfowl. We also hold both a sheltering license (for domestic rabbits) and mandatory wildlife (state and federal) permits.

Friends Fur Life Rescue Of Wv

Friends Fur Life Rescue is a 501(c)3, a non-profit organization that is strictly made up of animal-loving volunteers. Their mission is to rescue “at-risk” dogs and cats that have been discarded and forgotten. They focus on the seniors, the ones with health issues and those abandoned, abused or neglected. Many animals we take in have extensive health or behavior issues and are pulled from local shelters before they are euthanized. Their only goal is to give every animal their furever home.

For 20 years Animal Nation has been the go-to resource in Westchester, Rockland, Fairfield, and surrounding counties when it comes to wildlife, farm animals, and cats in need, receiving about 8,000 calls per-year.

Marine Mammal Stranding Center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (which has the privilege of housing the only marine mammal stranding facility in New Jersey) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of stranded or otherwise distressed marine mammals and sea turtles along the 1,800 mile New Jersey coast and inter-coastal waterways. MMSC is further committed to the preservation of our oceans and the education of the next generation through public information and internship programs.

Center For Wildlife

The Center for Wildlife's mission is to build a sustainable future for wildlife and their habitats through medical care and treatment for sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals, research, and environmental education programs for the public. We treat more than 2,200 animals brought to us by the public and connect with more than 15,000 people through our environmental education programs. Over 30 colleges students and young professionals are hosted each year as interns, fellows, and apprentices in our medical clinic and education programs, and we attract over 80 volunteers to assist with direct animal care, education, and fundraising.
