Animal Rescuers Without Borders, Inc. is a group of dedicated people who donate their time, resources, skills and energy toward the battle against the overpopulation of homeless pets and improving the lives of companion animals through rescue, fostering programs, adoption, pet care, educational programs and spaying and neutering

Cat Adoption Team's mission is to save the lives of homeless cats and to work with our community to provide feline expertise and quality programs and services for people and cats.

Haven Humane Society is more than an animal shelter; we are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1952, Haven Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them in the Greater Shasta County Area. At our Anderson campus, we provide shelter, dedicated care, and new beginnings for thousands of our community’s most vulnerable animals every year. In addition to pet adoptions and fostering, we focus on programs and services aimed at helping people care for and keep their pets, such as free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, a pet food pantry, and licensing services. In 2023, Haven Humane helped more than 7,000 animals through adoptions, rehabilitation, lost & found, veterinary services, and Animal Regulations, and rescue.

Low-cost, high quality spay/neuter surgery for pets and reduced cost veterinary services such as vaccines and testing.

Compassion without Borders brings brighter futures to animals in need on both sides of the border. We focus our efforts where the need is the greatest, but where animals are the very least likely to be helped due to financial, geographic, and cultural barriers.Our programs include a dog rescue program from Mexico and the Central Valley, along with free veterinary wellness and spay/neuter clinics in underserved communities on both sides of the border. We also have a humane euthanasia program in Mexico, where we are actively working to stop electrocution, a common method of killing unwanted animals south of the border.

Local Anne Arundel County branch of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (AASPCA) is located in Annapolis, MD and includes a no-kiill shelter for cats, dog, and other unwanted pets.

A community based non-profit 501c(3) organization that rescues cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and at-risk homeless situations, providing them with a no-kill shelter and on-site medical care, seeking loving permanent homes for them. A community where all cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and safeguarded or sheltered.

Project Street Vet is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet was founded by veterinarian Dr. Kwane Stewart, who for the past decade has provided free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness – walking areas of high homelessness to seek pets and pet parents in need.
