The Ferret Rescue & Education Society (FRES) is a non-profit, charitable organization that was started by a small group of devoted ferret owners in the Calgary area who recognized the need for a locally based rescue dedicated to ferrets. Our committed volunteers assist FRES in their goal to find permanent homes for all of the ferrets surrendered to us. They also provide shelter, basic needs, veterinary care, and if necessary, rehabilitation for all abused, unwanted, and abandoned ferrets regardless of their health status. With the rapid rise in the popularity of ferrets as pets, there is a great need for public education. While ferrets make wonderful pets, it is important that those who select them, as well as those in contact with them, have access to the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding ferrets care. The mission of the Humane Society of North Iowa is to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to displaced and neglected companion animals and educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.

EDUCATE PUBLIC ON ANIMAL CONTROL & WELFARE

The mission of Carolina Basset Hound Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted basset hounds in North Carolina and South Carolina.

The organization rescues, provides medical care for, rehabilitates, and places at-risk dogs into vetted foster and adoptive homes; it operates as a mostly foster-based rescue (no public shelter) and raises funds to cover urgent medical and rehabilitation needs while promoting responsible pet care.

The Coulee Region Humane Society promotes the humane treatment of all animals and fosters positive human – animal relationships.

Lincoln Park Zoo is dedicated to connecting people with nature by providing a free, family-oriented wildlife experience in the heart of Chicago and by advancing the highest quality of animal care, education, science and conservation.

Sea Turtle Recovery (STR) is dedicated to the rehabilitation, preservation and conservation of sea turtles. STR’s goal is to rehabilitate sick or injured sea turtles for their release back to the wild. Sea Turtle Recovery also educates the public on the important ecological role of sea turtles, threats endangering them, and ways to protect their future.

Dedication to rehoming German Shepherds. Front Range German Shepherd Rescue is a small group of German Shepherd lovers in the Denver area who volunteer our time and talents to help homeless pets find new families. We are always looking for new volunteers – providing temporary foster homes for these dogs is the big need, but there are many more opportunities to help

The mission of the Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary, Inc. is to assist in the enrichment and enhancement of the lives of the animals living at the zoo sanctuary through funding special needs, creating partnerships, supporting educational activities and sponsoring special events.
