MISSION STATEMENTThe Bangor Humane Society champions the humane treatment and adoption of companion animals, provides quality care for homeless pets, and promotes animal welfare through education and advocacy. OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES• Treat all animals and people with respect, dignity and integrity.• Work diligently to end companion animal overpopulation by increasing awareness of spay and neuter programs.• Promote adoption of physically and mentally healthy companion animals.• Educate and train caretakers to develop fulfilling and lifelong relationships with their companion animals.• Serve as responsible stewards of our resources. • Hold ourselves to the highest standards of safety, care and cleanliness. • Raise public awareness with regard to the humane treatment of all animals. • Use euthanasia only as a last humane option when in the best interest of an animal.

The organization works to preserve animal lives and improve animal well‑being by operating an adoption center and providing affordable preventive and medical services (vaccines, spay/neuter, clinic care), plus community education and outreach to reduce pet overpopulation and cruelty.

Wolf Sanctuary of PA provides lifelong refuge and care for displaced wolves and wolf‑dogs, ensuring they receive appropriate habitat, veterinary care, and enrichment. The sanctuary also runs guided educational tours and public programs to dispel myths about wolves and promote wolf conservation and biology.

Better Together Dog Rescue is a foster-based rescue that works to reduce euthanasia and find permanent homes for dogs by transporting and placing animals from overcrowded partner shelters, while also offering community supports (mobile pet food/supply pantry, spay/neuter and vet partnerships, and crisis fostering) so people can keep pets with their families.

Animal Care Society is a volunteer‑driven, no‑kill adoption shelter that rescues and cares for dogs and cats until they can be placed in safe, permanent homes. They provide medical care, community outreach, and adoption services to give companion animals a second chance while promoting humane pet ownership.

Skiatook Paws and Claws (SPACAR) is a foster‑based animal rescue that pulls adoptable dogs and cats from the local shelter system, places them in foster homes, and finds them permanent adoptive families. The organization also supports community programs (spay/neuter assistance, clinics and resource distribution) to reduce pet overpopulation and improve animal welfare.

We are the oldest and largest nonprofit animal welfare organization in Saginaw County. We are dedicated to the betterment of the lives of stray, owned and abandoned animals since-We believe no-birth is the first step to no-kill. Our organization works diligently to reduce the population of homeless and unwanted animals in Saginaw County, Michigan through our free spay and neuter services.-We rescue hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals every year. -We are strong advocates of Trap-Neuter-Return of Community Cats.-We provide pet food to households in needs to keep pets in their homes.

Homeward Bound WV, Inc., (formerly Friends of the four legged and furry) is a unique, non-profit organization dedicated to saving cats and dogs whose lives are in jeopardy and thereby enriching the lives of people in North Central West Virginia. We are a 100% foster organization.

Pawster's mission is to support people during times of crisis by providing compassionate, temporary care for their pets. When pet owners experience a temporary crisis (loss of housing, domestic violence, hospitalization, addiction, etc.), Pawster Nashville places their cat or dog in a loving foster home until the owner is back on their feet and ready to be reunited. This keeps pets out of shelters, and it keeps families together.
