The Maitland Conservation Foundation is a registered, charitable, non-profit organization that supports the environmental work of the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority. Established in 1975 the Foundation's Board of Directors and members are volunteers. The Maitland Conservation Foundation works in partnership with the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority to raise funds for conservation projects. Currently the Foundation is working to ensure the availability of environmental education programs in the Maitland watershed, to support projects that will build the environmental resiliency of the watershed and to upgrade facilities at local conservation areas.
Donors are welcome to direct their donations to specific initiatives including the John Hindmarsh Environmental Trust Fund, the Geoff Walker Memorial Fund, the Wawanosh Nature Centre, tree planting/environmental restoration efforts, Memorial Grove and Falls Reserve Conservation Area.
