The Lunenburg Heritage Society establish in 1972 has contributed much to the Town of Lunenburg. Some of our current activities include:
The Knaut-Rhuland House Museum, an 18th century residence. The site is designated as a National, Provincial and Municipal Heritage Site.
The Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival is one of North America's premier contemporary Folk Art shows.
The Heritage House Tour takes place every second year.
The Heritage Bandstand Concert Series provides musical entertainment, and serves as a focal point for civic activities throughout the year.
The Heritage Quilt, in 2003, the Society commissioned fabric artist Laurie Swim to design and create a lasting artwork to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Town.
Publications, the Society underwrites the publication and marketing of several books, cards, pamphlets and posters of historical interest.
